Easy Programming - Beginner C++ Tutorial - Parallel Arrays - Array Tutorial #2 (17)

09:20
In this tutorial, I show you more about using Arrays in C++. In the last tutorial, I've shown you some very basics of how arrays work, here I show you how to work with Parallel Arrays, also known as multiple arrays. Here You calculate and output results very easily. Arrays are very helpful. This tutorial only handle single dimensional arrays but deals with multiple array variables as well as implement the 'for' loop for more practice. 11:35
In this tutorial, I introduce the concept of a Bubble Sort. This code allows you to sort objects/values/variables in your program from largest to smallest or smallest to largest. It's very simple and it's the first program before I introduce the Index sort for you which will be a little different. You will need to know about Arrays, the for loop, and the if statement for this program. If you are not familiar with any of them, please have a look at my other tutorials and familiarize yourself before doing this tutorial. How to Install Composer and Laravel 5 in cPanel

08:18
Do you need to know how to install Laravel 5 in a cPanel account? In this tutorial, I walk you through installing Composer and Laravel 5 in a cPanel account. This can be done on any cPanel account, including shared hosting. Start your next PHP Project using one of the best frameworks out there. Two things to note is that this should be followed on an empty account, or make sure you back up your public_html folder before proceeding because you will lose everything in this folder. You will also need SSH access. If you are on a shared hosting account and you do not have SSH access, please contact your host prior to following this tutorial. Once you have access, download PuTTY and login to your account. Ignore every time I say public.html or public/html, I mean public_html or just basically "public html." Have any questions? Feel free to ask. Remember to visit https://www.easyprogramming.net for the rest of my tutorials (including a version of this tutorial). If you find this tutorial helpful, please like and share. Easy Programming - Beginner C++ Tutorial - Random Number Generator (11)

05:05
This is another new thing that you'll learn in C++ today. Today I show you how to create a program that acts as a random number generator and gives you a random number based on what the user inputs as the maximum value for the random number. So whether the number is 5 or 5,000,000, the program will be able to give you a random value. This is great practice for beginners with C++ and this tutorial should help further your knowledge about the basics of C++. For help with the looping, please check out my other video located here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ex26MJj4oHE In that video, I explain exactly how the "for" loop works. It's very simple and it's just a few minutes. Easy Programming - Beginner C++ Tutorial - Using Implementation Files (extra cpp Files) (27)

05:36
Last time I showed you how to split your program into two different files, the header and the main cpp. In this tutorial, I show you how to split your program further using implementation files (or extra cpp files) for your functions in C++ with ease. This made the program much easier to read because it was more organized and the main program was much smaller. Using .h files along with implementation files will do the same by splitting up the program into three different files. A main.cpp file, an Implementation.cpp file and a header.h file. This is also a great way for data hiding in C++. You can use many more header and cpp files for your programs and connect them all into one main program. In the future, I hope to show you a program that has many more files to it. This is a very short tutorial that only shows how to break the program up. If you have any questions about the program or anything in general relating to beginner C++ Programming, feel free to ask. Easy JavaScript - Intro to Event Listeners (30)

05:54
Welcome to the 30th Easy JavaScript tutorial, part of EasyProgramming.net. We've already looked at even handlers, this tutorial will give you a brief intro to event listeners. An event listener is a method that looks for an event on a target. Works very similarly to the event handler, but has a slightly different syntax and allows you to listen for more than one event on a target whereas event handlers will only allow you to do one! Easy Programming - Beginner C++ Tutorial - Counting in C++ (13)

06:03
In today's Beginner C++ Tutorial, I give you an explanation on how to count in C++. I'm already sure you know how to count without it but it is a neat function in C++ that you can use to your benefits for any future programs you plan on running. And you have actually seen how the counting works when I showed you both the "for" and "while" loops as well as a few other tutorials of mine that require some sort of counting. Today however, I go into a bit more details on how the counting works. And remember to visit my site https://www.EasyProgramming.net to view my other programming tutorials! Easy Programming - Beginner C++ Tutorial - Temperature Table Display (8)

11:50
C++ Console applications can be used for more than just completing equations or output/input scenarios. In this tutorial, I show you that you can actually use C++ Console apps to show data in tables. In this case, I show you the temperature table of Celsius, Fahrenheit, and Kelvin. This is one kind of scenario where the programmer has all the control when it comes to what is to be displayed on the screen. There are no inputs, just outputs of temperature in an aligned fashion. I realize my birds in the background can be loud and I apologize for that. And remember to visit my site https://www.EasyProgramming.net to view my other programming tutorials! Easy Excel Tutorial - Data Validation - Drop-down Lists (14)

08:18
Welcome to the 14th Excel Tutorial where I show you how to do data validation. This tutorial only focuses on Drop-down lists. There are other forms of validation which I will cover in another tutorial. Although this looks like a complicated feature of excel, it really isn't. All you need is some "valid" data and then tell Excel to ONLY allow the user to pick one of these values. If they pick something else, or even make a typo, it will give them an error. This is sometimes known as 'Idiot-proofing' and I have to admit it works, even with myself because like everyone else, I'm human and prone to mistakes. How to Replace a Broken LCD Screen On Your Digital Camera

07:08
How to replace your Digital Camera's LCD screen if it's broken, cracked, or just stopped working. I purchased a replacement camera from eBay, same one as the one I have which is a GE Camera. I took the LCD Screen from the camera purchased off eBay into my own. I show some of the basic steps on how to do it and it's pretty easy. The process should be similar for most Digital Cameras. I skip through many unnecessary portions of the video, including removing and placing the screws back in as that's very basic. I try to explain as much as I can. Easy Programming - Beginner C++ Tutorials - The Index Sort (24)

11:01
In this tutorial, I show you the index sort in c++. Last time I showed you the Bubble Sort which is good for sorting one array but it's still very inefficient because it moves the data within the array subscripts which can take a lot of processing power. The index sort however, just moves the subscripts around based on your sorting specifications. This allows you to sort multiple arrays (parallel arrays) with ease. The Index Sort is efficient and it is the preferred method of sorting when you have a lot of data in more than one set of arrays. This tutorial is very simple and builds on my bubble sort tutorial and uses only 2 arrays. In a future tutorial, I hope to show you the index sort using more arrays and using functions. If you have any questions about the program or anything in general relating to beginner C++ Programming, feel free to ask. Cockatiel (Rigel) Escapes from his Cage - Smart Bird

01:19
My Cockatiel Rigel learned to open his big cage door. I usually leave him out of the cage but sometimes I have to lock him up because of our cat and I used to come home and he would be out of the cage, I thought I left the cage open by mistake. But last night, he opened the cage like this in front of me twice. I was able to grab my phone to record the second time around. Awesome bird! #Cockatiel #Bird #Jailbreak

Easy Programming - Beginner C++ Tutorial - The "do while" loop (15)

09:56
Today we learn the "do while" loop in C++. It is an alternative to the "for" and "while" loops and it can work the same way as the other two loops or work very differently depending on how you use it. It is very convenient and it is my favorite loop in C++. The video shows you how to use the do while loop with characters, strings, and your basic integer counter controlled loop. Everything you can do with the do while loop can also be done with the regular while loop but this is also very handy to do. The for loop however is best as a counter controlled loop so I wouldn't recommend you try anything else with it. And remember to visit my site https://www.EasyProgramming.net to view my other programming tutorials! They are all on the website and it will be updated as soon as new programs are uploaded. Easy Programming - Beginner C++ Tutorial - Void Functions (19)

10:44
In this tutorial, I introduce to you void functions. I've spoken a little about it in my last tutorial regarding Value Returning Functions but here, I show it to you in application. I reuse my Tip Calculator program that I created several months ago and show you how you can use the calculation in that program as a function for the entire program. Void functions can be fun and they are very handy. I show you how to use it in several ways including one way where you send values back through the parameter list as references and another way where you simply output the results onto the screen because no return statement is needed in the void. If you have any questions about the program or functions in general, feel free to ask. And remember to visit my site https://www.EasyProgramming.net to view my other programming tutorials! Unboxing of Toshiba Satellite C655-S5235 Notebook

07:04
I recently purchased the Toshiba Satellite C655-S5235 Laptop from Newegg. This is a video of me opening it for the first time and going through some of what's included with the Laptop as well as it's features. It uses the Intel Pentium B940 (2ghz) CPU, which uses the Sandy Bridge architecture. It comes with 4GB DDR3 Memory along with a 500 Gigabyte hard drive. It also comes with an SD Memory card reader in the front and a 1.3 Megapixel webcam. The webcam is actually much nicer than I expected. The sound isn't so great but laptop's aren't really known for their awesome sound quality. It's a 15.6 inch widescreen display with an LED backlight. It comes installed with Windows 7 Home premium 64bit and has a battery life of almost 7 hours, which is more than enough for what I need. I purchased this mainly for schoolwork. I don't plan on using it for gaming or anything heavy. This is definitely a great laptop. Hopefully it lasts me a while. Easy JavaScript - How to Create a Basic AJAX Request (47)

11:38
Welcome to the 47th Easy JavaScript tutorial, part of EasyProgramming.net. I gave you a brief intro to what AJAX is and showed you a quick example at the end. Today we're going to cover one of those examples and create a very basic AJAX event on your webpage. Here you will click a button and using AJAX, your web page will update with content located in another file. One thing you will need to know is that you can only run this from a web server. You can't open the file directly on your browser and try it, it won't work. That's why I'm using brackets because it allows for a preview. You can find the file I'm using on our website, be sure to download it to follow along! For more information, please visit http://www.EasyProgramming.net to view my other programming tutorials! Easy JavaScript - How to iterate through HTML Form Elements (51)

05:19
Welcome to the 51st Easy JavaScript tutorial, part of EasyProgramming.net. Thanks for sticking around for the past 50 weeks! We're 2 weeks away from a full year of learning JS! Let's iterate through an HTML form, its fields, and its values. We know how to read individual form element items, but let's go a little deeper and actually iterate through an entire form without having to get each element individually. This is a great way to go through an entire form and do some validation, so feel free to play around with this knowledge. Please get more info on EasyProgramming.net and be sure to leave a comment on the page or ask a question. The site has just been relaunched with a new look and a more user friendly interface. Easy Programming - Beginner C++ Tutorial - Void Function - Arrays in Functions (20)

12:51
Welcome to my 20th tutorial of Easy Programming in C++. In this tutorial, I show you how to use the Void Function a bit more by introducing Arrays into the mix as well as explain a bit more about how to reference variables through the parameter list. I use the parallel arrays tutorial here as the base and work around that and convert that into a void function. I actually use two void functions and add on an extra equation to the program. It's very simple and easy. If you have any questions about the program or functions in general, feel free to ask. In my last tutorial, I introduced stacks the long way. In this tutorial, I use the C++ Stack Library and show you a much shorter way to do stacks. The last tutorial showed you in depth what some of the built in functions of the stack library does and this tutorial covers all the functions included in the C++ Stack Library. This is a simple tutorial so you will not need to know arrays or structs. But you should know them anyway since they are of great use. Easy JavaScript - How to use window.localStorage (50)

10:05
Welcome to the 50th Easy JavaScript tutorial, part of EasyProgramming.net. Did you know that you can store information in your browser to hold onto for the whole session? Even if you reload the page? Today, let's cover window.localStorage. We will utlize the JSON.stringify method in this tutorial. HTML5 allows you to store information directly to your browser's memory, instead of cookies. Although cookies can last longer and span multiple sessions, localStorage is excellent for keeping temporary data in a current session without using cookies. And unlike cookies, you can store up to 5MB of data. That's a lot of data! (One character is 8-bits or 1 byte, and 1 megabyte is 1 Million bytes!). window.localStorage will keep the information based on the domain without an expiration. window.sessionStorage also exists, which will dete the data as soon as the browser tab is closed. Easy Programming - Beginner C++ Tutorial - Using C++ Stacks - Part 2 (29)

24:49
In my last tutorial, I introduced stacks to you and what I would be doing to teach you stacks. In this tutorial, I use what I taught you in my last tutorial to code a program from scratch. I do this the long way without using the Stack library. There are other ways to do stacks, this is just the way I am teaching you, using structs, arrays, while loops, and functions. This method of teaching shows you exactly what goes on within a Stack. If you are interested in knowing the stack library, I may make a tutorial for that in the future. Samsumg SMX-F40 Time Lapse Test - Good Camcorder

02:15
I've used other camcorders in the past and I know a few ways to make time lapse videos by recording for hours and then speeding things up in the computer. But The Samsung SMX F40 camcorder makes it very easy and you don't have to worry about your memory card filling up after a few hours of recording. This video tests that feature. If you want to know what the regular video quality is like from this camcorder, check out my other videos - more specifically the "how to build your own pc" series. The were all recorded with this camcorder. I bought this a few weeks ago as it was on sale on Newegg for just $99. I jumped on it and it was a great decision. Battery lasts for a very long time and I like it. It's not HD but I don't make many videos of the real world anyway so it doesn't matter to me. It has great features and I'd definitely recommend this camcorder for beginners or people on a budget. It doesn't come with any internal memory, I know some other versions/models of the same camera comes with quite a bit of memory but this one didn't. It uses a regular SD or SDHC memory card. It's small and easy to carry. Video shows traffic from my window followed by the sun setting and some cloud movement. No sound was added as there usually isn't any base sound with time lapse videos. I didn't add music on purpose. Well enjoy! Easy JavaScript - How to Debug your JavaScript code (16)

12:39
Welcome to the sixteenth Easy JavaScript Tutorial, Beginner JavaScript Tutorial, part of Easy Programming! In his tutorial, we're going to talk about debugging your code. Debugging your code has to do with finding a bug which causes your script to run in an unexpected way (or not run at all), and fix it. The point of debugging should also be to find out WHY a bug exists in the first place because if you can understand why something has happened, you can prevent it in the future. I won this 5 watt solar panel in a contest held by Robert Smith which ended at the end of July. I know I've had it for a while but finding time and peace to make a small video like this took some time. In this video, I show you how the 5 Watt Solar panel works in charging my USB GPS. I didn't have anything fancy set up but it does work very well and I use it occasionally to charge USB products, not because I can't charge it on my computer but because it's fun and efficient. Easy JavaScript - Storing DOM Elements & Functions in Variables (6)

05:40
Welcome to the sixth Easy JavaScript Tutorial, Beginner JavaScript Tutorial, part of Easy Programming! In the last tutorial, we went over storing information in variables. In this tutorial, we take a look at storing two other types of information into variables. They are DOM elements and Functions. Know how, why, and when to do this will allow you to save a lot of time when coding. I will cover all three questions in this tutorial. What you learn in this tutorial is something that we will do over and over again because it makes the life of any coder easier. One of the directives of programming is to create reusable code, and storing DOM elements and Functions in variables is a very good way to create reusable code. I hope this very quick tutorial helps you get started. Please return for a tutorial on functions!
