Deadly Sea Creature - Blue Angel

01:44
This strange sea creature is the Glaucus Atlanticus also known as the blue angel, blue dragon and blue sea slug is a marine gastropod mollusk. This tiny animal species is quite the predator. You will find this colorful family member of sea slugs in temperate and tropical waters. Regions include the East and South coast of South Africa, European waters, off the East coast of Australia and Mozambique. Quite tiny, the species normal size is up to 3cm, but it does feed on larger prey like the venomous Portuguese man of war consuming the organism in its entirety. The blue angel is immune to the man of wars venom, collecting it for its own use, using a much more concentrated venom, its sting is more powerful and deadly than the man o war. The poison is stored inside the finger like structures sticking out of its body known as cerata, this is just one of its defense mechanisms. The beautiful blue underside of the blue angel acts as a camouflage from air born predators as it floats upside down on the surface of the water. Its back is grayish in color and faces downward, camouflaging it from predators looking up from below the water. The Blue angel is a hermaphrodite allowing both slugs to produce egg strings after mating which they lay on driftwood, or the skeletons of their victims. There is so much more to learn about this intriguing creature, but we do know that While they are beautiful to behold, they are dangerous to actually hold. Rarely seen 14 foot, 800 lb deep-sea 'dinosaur' skate caught off Florida coast

01:22
A Florida fisherman has caught an enormous 14-foot deep-sea creature so old it has barnacles on it. The 800-pound rarely-seen beast was caught in the waters off Miami Beach and the fish was so rare it was like 'a dinosaur'. Captain Mark Quartiano, a charter boat operator who also goes by 'Mark the Shark', posted a picture of the Dactylobatus clarkii, a deep sea species also referred to as 'hookskate' or 'fingerskate', in an Instagram photo he posted over the weekend. The monster inhabits muddy sea depths of up to 1,000 feet -- this one was caught in waters of about 500 feet deep, Quartiano said. 'I've caught one like it before, but never that size, not in the last 30 years I've been doing this,' Quartiano told ABC News. 'It's a very rare fish. It's like a big gigantic whipping stingray. It's a dinosaur.' 'It was very old. It had barnacles all over it,' said Quartiano, who caught the skate while shooting a series of TV shows for a Japanese network. He released the fish back into the ocean shortly after tagging it. Blog : http://patrynworldlatestnews.blogspot.com/ Facebook : https://www.facebook.com/patryn.worldlatestnews

Boy in Ukraine makes amazing long-distance, deep-sea discovery

00:10
Boy in Ukraine makes amazing long-distance, deep-sea discovery Kirill Dudko, a 14-year-old from Ukraine, has provided scientists in Canada with remarkable footage from their own remote deep-sea cameras: the first-known photo documentation of an elephant seal slurping a hagfish from the sea floor--at an astonishing depth of 2,933 feet. (Watch the mammal grab the hagfish in the first clip, and see scientist Steven Mihaly explain Dudko's discovery in the second.) Dudko, who is obsessed with deep-sea biology, spends lots of time monitoring video feeds from sea-floor cameras and collecting clips for his YouTube channel. He singled out the elephant seal clip after spotting the quick event, which occurred in Barkley Canyon off Canada's Pacific coast. The boy, who could not identify the critter because only part of its face is visible in the footage, wrote to Neptune Canada, stating: "Suddenly, a huge creature grabbed the hagfish. You know, it was like a horror film! This creature wasn't a fish, and I realized it was a mammal because of its nose and mustache." Scientists identified the mammal as an elephant seal, a species that has been recoded diving to depths of nearly 5,000 feet. Elephant seals can remain underwater for up to two hours. Hagfish are slender, eel-like critters that favor soft-mud habitat. They're blind foragers that rely heavily on olfactory senses and feed chiefly on fish and worm-like creatures. Because they produce considerable amounts of slime, they're also called slime eels. Australia the First four Billion years - Monsters

52:05
Australia: First 4 Billion Years 3 - Monsters "Monsters" begins Down Under at the dawn of the Age of Dinosaurs. Host Richard Smith comes face-to-face with the previously unknown reptilian rulers of prehistoric Australia. NOVA resurrects the giants that stalked the Great Southern Land and discovers that some of these animals were among the largest ever to have walked the Earth. Others were some of the most dangerous. In the dry desert heart, scientists unearth an ancient inland ocean full of sea monsters. Opal fossils of some of these beasts paint a colorful picture of the exotic seascape, where long-necked plesiosaurs snacked on shelled creatures that grew as large as truck tires. The most fearsome was Kronosaurus, with a skull twice as long as T. rex. But reptiles didn't have the world all to themselves. Mammals like the enigmatic platypus lived alongside them, ready for their moment in the sun. TOP 10 Terrifying SEA DINOSAURS

WANT MORE TOP 10 VIDEOS LIKE THIS? CLICK HERE: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCOJRwrmABksiOeX9gJCzFgQ/videos ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Some of the largest creatures this world has ever seen lived millions of years ago. Here are ten of the largest, most fearsome sea monsters ever to prowl the oceans:10 Shastasaurus ShastasaurusThe ichthyosaurs were marine predators that looked like modern dolphins, and could reach a massive size during the Triassic period over 200 million years ago.Shastasaurus, the largest marine reptile species ever found, was a variety of ichthyosaur that could grow to over 65 feet (20m), much longer than most other predators. But one of the largest creatures to ever swim the the sea wasn’t exactly a fearsome predator; Shastasaurus was a specialized suction feeder, eating mainly fish.9 Dakosaurus Dakosaurus Dakosaurus was first discovered in Germany and, with its odd reptilian-yet-fishy body, was one of the top predators in the sea during the Jurassic period.Fossil remains have been found across a very widespread distribution, turning up everywhere from England to Russia to Argentina. Though it is commonly compared to modern crocs, Dakosaurus could reach a length of 16 feet (5m). Its unique teeth have led scientists to consider it an apex predator during its reign of terror. 8 Thalassomedon Thalassomedon was a species of Pliosaur whose name translates from Greek to “sea lord” – and for good reason. They were massive predators, reaching lengths of up to 40 feet (12m).Its flippers were nearly 7 feet (2m) long, allowing it to swim the depths with deadly efficiency. Its reign as a top predator lasted through the late Cretaceous period, finally coming to an end when the sea saw new and larger predators like the Mosasaur. 7 Nothosaurus Nothosaurus Nothosaurus, only about 13 feet (4m) long, were aggressive hunters. They were armed with a mouth full of sharp, outward-pointing teeth, suggesting a diet of squid and fish. Nothosaurus is thought to have mainly been an ambush predator, using its sleek reptilian figure to sneak up on prey and take it by surprise. It’s believed that Nothosaurs were related to pliosaurs, another variety of deep sea predators. Fossil evidence suggests that they lived during the Triassic period over 200 million years ago. 6 Tylosaurus Tylosaurus Tylosaurus was a species of Mosasaur. It was enormous, reaching more than 50 feet (15m) in length. The tylosaurus was a meat eater with a very diverse diet. Stomach remains show signs of fish, sharks, smaller mosasaurs, plesiosaurs, and even some flightless birds. They lived during the late Cretaceous in the seas that covered North America, where they sat firmly atop the marine food chain for several million years.5 Thalattoarchon Saurophagis T. saurophagis Only recently discovered, T. saurophagis was the size of a school bus, reaching nearly 30 feet (9m) long. It is an early species of ichthyosaur that lived during the Triassic period, 244 million years ago. Because they were alive shortly after the Permian extinction (Earth’s largest mass extinction, when 95% of marine life is thought to have been wiped out), its discovery is giving scientists new insights into the quick recovery of the ecosystem. 4 Tanystropheus Tanystropheus While Tanystropheus was not strictly marine, its diet was mainly fish and scientists think it spent most of its time in the water. Tanystropheus was a reptile that could reach 20 feet (6m) long, and it is thought to have been alive during the Triassic period nearly 215 million years ago.

Rare 800-Pound Sea Creature Caught Off Miami Beach

00:30
Please Subscribe. Thank You! Rare 800-Pound Sea Creature Caught Off Miami Beach Imagine going fishing off the coast of Miami -- and instead catching a rare and massive beast that appears straight from the Mesozoic era (or all of our nightmares). The well-known shark fisherman who snared the 800-pound sea creature below told ABC News it was like "a dinosaur." "It was very old. It had barnacles all over it," said Captain Mark Quartiano, a controversial charter boat operator known as "Mark the Shark." The creature was a whopping 14 feet from head to tail. Quartiano identified the monster as the rarely seen dactylobatus clarkii, or hookskate, according to Local10. The hookskate is a species about which very little is known thanks to its penchant for living on muddy sea bottoms up to 1,000 feet deep. But it might be something else entirely: GrindTV spoke with George H. Burgess of the Florida Museum of Natural History, who identified the beast as dasyatis centroura, a roughtailed stingray that normally grows only to 660 pounds but packs a punch in its venomous tail. Either way, the photo of the mysterious creature is jaw-dropping indeed. After hooking it about 500 feet deep while fishing with a Japanese TV crew, Quartiano told Grind he fought for four hours to bring his giant catch to the surface before taking its photo and releasing it back into the ocean. "It was kind of cool to catch something new for a change," he said. "When we first saw it we didn't know what it was." The catch isn't Quartiano's first brush with viral fame: one of his expeditions caught a two-headed shark in September, and he kicked off a controversy last year by posting photos of client Rosie O'Donnell and her children with a catch of now-endangered hammerhead sharks.

1/2 Soak - Sea Creatures @ Atelier Babylon, Bratislava, Slovakia 11/08/13

02:46
Opening for Tegan and Sara in Eastern Europe. She's adorable! Does this song remind anyone else of the "Emy Fish" stories??! I suspect T&S chose her to open because she reminds them of themselves at 16, though I'd also suspect that they'd quickly say she is way ahead of where they were at 16. ;) One to watch: SOAK http://www.theguardian.com/music/2013/jan/27/soak-bridie-monds-watson-sea-creatures The 16-year-old singer-songwriter from Derry, SOAK, aka Bridie Monds-Watson, releases her second EP in a year Bridie Monds-Watson never had a girly phase. At five, she went round the house in wellies and a swimming hat; by the age of 11, she was a "gangster" with a collection of neckerchiefs. Today, she wears a boxy silver jacket and boys' jeans with turn-ups, and has a gigantic fissure in her earlobe lined with black plastic. Asking Bridie -- aka SOAK -- about her image feels intrusive somehow, because at 16 such things are so fragile. But SOAK, who only picked up a guitar three years ago and is still driven to gigs by her mum, is not fragile at all. Her new EP, Sea Creatures, is a vivid portrait of teenage deep-thinking: intricate, ambiguous psychodramas chewed over in her distinctive Derry accent, a bit like a young Paul Brady if he were singing Joni Mitchell or reading aloud the diary of Anne Frank. Songs are generous and outward-looking: the title track captures the feeling of watching a friend suffer at school and yearning to tell her it will get better. (The name, SOAK, combines 'soul' and 'folk' - "strange", she says, "as my music is neither.") Fingers Crossed is a love song sung with the acknowledgment that love is on the wane. Some of the thrill here is simply watching wise "adult" observations coming out of the mouth of a kid. But the formidable intensity that has captured people's imaginations on YouTube dissipates when she opens her eyes and that, too, is a very important part of SOAK. "I am really not a dark or depressed person," she says with a laugh. "I'm from a very happy family." She explains that her mum is particularly keen for people to understand this and you can see why: if your child has a preternaturally high talent for writing about internal conflict, people might assume you kept them locked in a cupboard under the stairs. Bridie is close to her family: she came out to her parents at 14 -- and doesn't think that was particularly young, or particularly old, or particularly interesting at all. She is private about the individual dramas that inspired her songs, but you suspect that's because she wants to protect old school friends (she is now studying an extended diploma in music at a higher education college in Derry, though, having just been signed to Warner Bros, it remains to be seen whether she'll need to complete it). On stage, she works hard to dispel the image of a tortured soul and witters away like a less-smart-ass version of Ellen Page in Juno. "I try and use the gap between the songs to show the other side of me," she explains later. "I happen to write easier when I'm angry or sad, but I know from watching other musicians that you want more than that." As favourite bands she volunteers Abba and Pink Floyd ("not enough people appreciate how great those keyboard riffs are"); she mentions her sadness at the news about HMV, recalling that the first time she got paid for a gig -- two years ago -- she ceremoniously spent all her earnings on records. That seems surprising somehow, symbolising, perhaps, a teenage record-buying public largely ignored in recent debates. Then again, 16 year-olds seem to symbolise a lot of things for adults. Philip King, the organiser of Dingle's Other Voices festival (she will appear at its spin-off event as part of Derry's City of Culture celebrations next month) sees SOAK as a symbol of peace in Northern Ireland: her big brother was born on the day of the ceasefire; she attended Derry's first integrated college and has no direct experience of the Troubles at all ("it didn't look fun"). Perhaps, if she represents anything at all, it's the potential of songwriting to show the complexity of a person's inner life. Someone once said you can never truly know your children. If they all wrote songs like this, we would.

New David Attenborough series Dynasties coming soon! Watch the first trailer here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JWI1eCbksdE --~-- In 2006, a fossil was dug out of a frozen island high in the Arctic. It was a colossal marine reptile, twice as big as most ocean predators, at 15 metres long and weighing about 45 tonnes. This was Predator X, the most powerful marine reptile ever discovered. Its skull alone was nearly twice the size of a tyrannosaurus rex's, and its bite force unmatched by anything in the Jurassic seas. Narrated by John Hurt Planet Dinosaur tells the stories of the biggest, deadliest and weirdest creatures ever to walk the Earth, using the latest fossil evidence and immersive computer graphics. Exploring Mysterious and Enigmatic Belize Great Blue Hole

07:05
Ramon Llaneza diving rebreather explore stargate the entrance to alien underworld in Belize and Bahamas. Watch more details about this exploration at https://youtu.be/mh49kkENw_Q . The Mysterious Belize Great Blue Hole is a large underwater hole off the coast of Belize. It lies near the center of Lighthouse Reef, a small atoll 100 kilometers (62 mi) from the mainland and Belize City. The hole is perfectly circular in shape, over 300 meters (1000 ft) across (diameter), 3140 feet circumference and 125 meters (410 ft) deep. It was formed as a limestone cave system during the last glacial period when the sea level was 400 to 500 feet below present time and was dry land. Last glacial period began about 120,000 years ago and end about 15,000 years ago. Reaching the maximum extension 26,500 years ago. At the end the ocean began to rise, the caves flooded, and the roof collapsed. Believed to be the world's largest feature of its kind, the Great Blue Hole is part of the larger Belize Barrier Reef Reserve System, a World Heritage site of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). The hole itself is the opening to a system of caves and passageway that penetrate this undersea mountain. In various places, massive limestone stalactites hang down from what was once the ceiling of air-filled caves thousand of years before the end of the last Ice Age 15,000 years ago. When the ice melted the sea level rose, flooding the caves. This process occurred in stages. Evidence for this are the shelves and ledges, carved into the limestone by the sea, which run the complete interior circumference of the Blue Hole at various depths. The Blue Hole is a "karst- eroded sinkhole." It was once a cave at the center of an underground tunnel complex whose ceiling collapsed. Some of the tunnels are thought to be linked right through to the mainland, though this has never been conclusively proved. Notable are the large population of sharks such as lemon, black tip, reef, hammerhead, and bull sharks. Mysterious and legends always have been around the Belize Blue Hole. This was the entrance to Xibalba?. It's the kind of underwater geology that inspires speculation about aliens creating geometrically perfect anomalies, mermaids and monsters living in darkness. I explored the bottom of the Blue Hole perimeter (3,140 feet circumference). To do this I dove down twice, reaching the depth of 375' feet which took 4 to 5 hours of diving each day. Deep sea creature found in Spain. The four-metre-long deap sea animals, with what appear to be horns, was found decomposing on Luis Siret Beach in Villaricos. Spain leaving locals wondering if they had caught a glimpse of a mythical sea monster from the deep, Experts and residents are struggling to determine what the remains are, with guesses ranging from everything from a relative of the Loch Ness Monster, a dinosaur or sea monster, or an oarfish. "It's hard to know what we are dealing with," PROMAR Sea Life Defence Program spokesman Paco Toledano told Ideal Ameria."It's very decomposed and we cannot identify what it is." Mr Toledano said they have sent information about the remains to more other experts, in hopes that they can identify the animal. Your Daily weird news facts from all over the globe. World's Biggest Shark EVER! Megalodon

02:16
The biggest shark to have EVER lived, is the Megalodon, a giant prehistoric shark and a legendary killer. Megalodon monster shark lives? 11 Biggest Sharks Caught https://youtu.be/xFzT3uf4p2g 9 ft Shark Eaten by Unknown Sea Creature http://youtu.be/RKyn6dEMHKA It's name is Greek word meaning "Big Tooth". This giant mega shark is as one of the largest and most powerful attacking apex predators in the history of our planet. Having been extinct for millions of years, The Megalodon has influenced pop culture as photos and drawings of this legendary shark continue to appear all over web with some websites and blogs dedicated to it. Fossils indicate that the Megalodon Shark reached lengths of almost 70 feet, 20 meters long and was much wider and stockier than your typical great white shark believed to have weighed almost 100 tons. Blue Whales being slightly bigger can weigh over 100 tons. The teeth of the Megalodon are gigantic, some found to be over 7 inches long. These tooth fossils have been discovered all over the world and at one point were believed to be petrified tongues of dragons & giant snakes. The shark bite of the Megalodon is the sea creature's most impressive features as scientist estimate it's chomp to have created up to 18 tons of force, compared to that of a great white's bite which is less than 2 tons of force. With that kind of biting pressure the Megalodon could crush a whales skull as easily as a human child would bite into a grape making it the most powerful bite of any creature in history. The Megalodon's closest living relative is the Great White Shark and although they have many similarities, their hunting patterns proved to be different. Great white sharks tend to attack the under belly or soft spot of their victims for a quick kill as the Megalodon's attacked with it's massive biting force to rip off the fins of other large fish before going in for the final kill. A sea monster as deadly and powerful as the Megalodon dominated the oceans for millions of years, however no one knows why exactly they became extinct. Was it global warming...A lack of food sources, or is it possible they still exists somewhere beyond our reach deep within the ocean depths. 3/4 Soak - Sea Creatures @ Magazzini Generali, Milan, Italy 11/10/13

02:46
Soak has been opening for Tegan and Sara in Eastern Europe. She is adorable! (And very talented. :) I suspect T&S chose her to open because she reminds them of themselves at 16, though I'd also suspect that they'd quickly say she is way ahead of where they were at 16. ;) One to watch: SOAK http://www.theguardian.com/music/2013/jan/27/soak-bridie-monds-watson-sea-creatures The 16-year-old singer-songwriter from Derry, SOAK, aka Bridie Monds-Watson, releases her second EP in a year Bridie Monds-Watson never had a girly phase. The Complete "One Ocean" Shamu Show at SeaWorld (voted best on YouTube)

20:48
The complete "One Ocean" Shamu killer whale show One Ocean at SeaWorld San Diego. June 2017 SeaWorld San Diego has now replaced "One Ocean" with a new Orca show, Orca Encounter. Park officials said it’s more educational than theatrical when compared to the previous orca show, One Ocean. “The way they've trained them was very interesting,” said Linda Beckwith, who watched the show. One Ocean was discontinued earlier this year after a documentary film criticized the park’s treatment of captive orcas. Freddi Fish 5: The Case of the Creature of Coral Cove (Humongous Entertainment) (2001) [HD]

01:14:27
Freddi and Luther (on their way to Coral Cove Park) run into a large mob of sea creatures and the park's developer Marty Sardini, who are both angry yet terrified of this sea monster supposedly terrorizing the park. Freddi and Luther decide to investigate why this sea monster is scaring the citizens. Firstly, they get into Coral Cove Park (after getting a permission slip signed by the Mayor) and enter to find a chunk of green sea cheese with a large bite taken out of it. Freddi and Luther continue to examine it, and it becomes their first clue to locate the sea monster's whereabouts. After they get into the sea monster's cave and find his to-do list, they discover he is lurking in the deepest crevice of the ocean. Freddi and Luther then come to realize that the sea monster named Xamfear Duncan Dogberry Valentine was driven out of Coral Cove Park by a certain greedy developer and was scaring the townspeople because they took his home. Luther figures this must mean Marty. Just as Xamfear is about to show Freddi and Luther his deed for proof, Marty and everyone in town arrive. Marty states that 'there is no such deed'. Suddenly, Xamfear (after checking the place he had the deed—under a piece of ground) comes to discover the deed has been stolen. Freddi and Luther find that Marty is missing as well. Together, Freddi and Luther slip into Marty's base and, after dodging traps, find the hidden deed Marty has stolen. Marty catches them at his place and calls security right when the Mayor (after getting his picture taken) shows up to arrest Marty for theft. All's well that ends well: Xamfear Duncan Dogberry Valentine opens up the Park for everyone to play in, while Marty does the dirty work. Released : June 19, 2001 iOS/Google Play: 2013-2014
