Bundling products to make a new product

11:17
Offer pre-selected or customizable bundles by grouping products together Product bundling is one of the most effective marketing strategies around. Bundle a few products together, offer them at a discount and watch your sales soar. But bundling is not all about boosting sales. Product grouping is a common technique for creating complex products, kits and assemblies that consist of multiple parts. These parts can be managed individually, bundled in multiples, and in some cases, have their own configurable attribute and quantity options — or be entirely optional. Product Bundles is a straightforward WooCommerce extension for creating product packages. Quickly build complex products or create simple discount combos by mixing simple and variable products. Subscriptions and downloadable/virtual products are also supported. More Info at: https://www.ilgm.com

Custom designed Yahoo Store multi-product selection feature by FastPivot.com

01:12
Hi everyone, Jonathan Poston from FastPivot.com here to discuss the new custom multi-product selection feature,"Build-A-Buffet" our Yahoo! Store developers recently designed. Referring to the Youtube video: Over on the right is a list of candy products from the yellow candy buffet. Customers can scroll through and select the products they want...once selected, products appear over on the left on the buffet table. When the table is full, the selection can easily be reviewed. If there are any changes to be made to the buffet selection, any of the items on the table can be removed simply by clicking them. To replace those empty sports, just scroll back through the product list and choose.Once the buffet table is full and the customer is ready to move on, it's easy to simply add to cart and continue shopping or add to cart and go on to check out. This type of custom multi-add feature for Yahoo! Stores can be useful for any Yahoo! Store selling multiple products within similar categories.

6 Setting Up Regpack Products

We detail how to create a product and how to edit a product. -- Video Transcript: To create a product, you can click create new product, but when adding products to your system, I’d recommend you use this trick - find a similar product, check it, and then copy it - then you can click the pencil to make a few adjustments. On the product options window, first you’ll want to edit the category, name, price, and add a brief description of the product. Below, you can check “Can only be ordered once” so that only one of the product can be added to the applicant’s cart. When this option is selected a little “1” will appear on the product frame. Leaving it unchecked will give them to choose the amount they order, and won’t have an icon. The “Available to users for selection” box lets you control whether an applicant can see products on the product selection widget or not. Keeping it checked means applicant can see it, and unchecked means they won’t see it. This is a great way to quickly hide products from your applicants. Under product locking settings, You can check “Lock for changes once paid” to ensure that your applicants can’t remove the product from their cart after they have paid for it. Checking the box next to “Lock once added to cart” will prevent your applicant from removing the product after selecting it. Since you have a family based system you will also see Product type category, and it’s important to set this up correctly. You have two levels, parent and child. Each level can have a product widget placed on one of the forms. You want the product type to correspond to whichever form level has the product selection widget. In the Availability & Expiration category, you can set when a product will become available for selection or when it should become unavailable. A product with an availability or expiration date will display the month date and year in an icon on the product frame. Note that if you set the product to expire on the fifth, then it would be available until 11:59 on the fourth Chicago time. Both will show the remaining slots until it is sold out, and a sold out message once the quota has been reached. If you want to disable this feature, make sure to contact support and let them know. Setting a “Items that users have ordered” quota will show a sold out sign when the number of applicants who ordered the product reaches the quota. The order quota will appear next to the first number on the product frame. Setting a “ Items that users have actually paid for” quota will show a sold out sign when the number of applicants who have paid for the product in FULL reaches the quota. The paid-for quota will appear next to the second number on the product frame. When you have a quota you also have the option of allowing people to list themselves on a waitlist. Click “allow waitlist” to activate this option, and it will automatically appear whenever your product sells out. The last option only appears If the price of your product is zero, and you will see a special option that allows you to present a message instead of zero dollars, which may be a bit easier on the eyes. Finally, to delete a product, click delete at the bottom left and confirm the deletion - otherwise, click “update product” when you are done! To start triggering, mouse over a product and click the trigger button. Choosing “Show or Do not show product in user's product list” controls whether your applicants see it or don’t see it on the product selection widget. Choosing “Add product to user's cart and hide from others” means that only the applicant will receive the triggered product, while “Add product to user's cart and show to others” means that everyone else will also be able to see it on the product selection widget. The last option is commonly used in conjunction with an admin product to allow the admin to override the set conditions and manually add the product to a applicant. Either click fields and scroll down to find your answer, or start typing any part of the question in the search bar. Once you find your answer choice, click it, and click the correct answer to add it to your list of conditions. Click “that’s it” when you’re done. You’ll see a lightning bolt next to triggered products, and you can click on it to review your trigger at a glance.

Cart Abandoment Tutorial

04:20
Often times users will add items they like to their shopping cart never to complete the checkout process. This might be due to the user being pulled away from the app or maybe they are on the fence about the purchase. Use Leanplum to send users a notification reminding them that their specific product is still in the cart waiting to be purchased. ▶ Increase purchase and shopping cart conversions. Once the user leaves the app, they often forget about the product they had placed within the shopping cart. By sending the user a notification shortly after adding the item but not purchasing, a notification will keep the item top of mind and encourage the user to come back for the purchase. ▶ Personalize the message specific to the items selected. When sending the reminder to the user that they still have an item in the shopping cart, dynamically customize the message to include the name of the item added and any other relevant details. By including specific information about the item, the user is much more likely to interact with the message and come back to the app. In addition, take advantage of Leanplum’s optimal time delivery in order to maximize conversions.

Design Note: American Eagle's Product Page

01:40
Let's take a look at the add to cart flow on American Eagle Outfitters' product page. It updates with some great contextual information as you progress, leading customers from product selection to checkout fluidly. Once a customer has selected all the configurable attributes of a product, the “Add to bag” button lights up and nearby there’s a call out to tell you if it’s in stock. Once you add it to your bag, a checkout button immediately appears underneath the “Add to bag” button and lets you know if you’ve received free shipping. How great is that? 03:29
http://understandinge.com/set-default-magento-cart-quantity-1-0/ Forum Question: How do I set the default basket quantity to 1? At the moment it is set to 0! I’ve seen it somewhere but can’t remember where. To answer this Forum Question sent by Tim we will show you in this video How to Set the Default Magento Cart Quantity to 1 From 0. The setting you need is hiding away in System - Configuration - Inventory - Product Stock Options - Minimum Qty Allowed in Shopping Cart And if you’re looking for a way of increasing this number, say for trade or wholesale customers you can set the minimum cart quantity per Magento customer group too, as shown in the video. Note to remember: Even if the quantity is at the Magento default of “0”, when pressing the add to cart button, Magento will add 1 to the cart. If you need a hand at any time, use the contact details below and the forums here http://understandinge.com/forum/ are always open. The Blinds Worksheet Summary

00:50
You may not wish to cover all of your blinds in the same product or brand name. To compare different products for your windows you will use the "compare selected blinds" option in the worksheets toolbar. First select the blinds that you would like to compare. For the large and small windows you will select the Bali shade and for the other two you will select the Steve's exclusive collection shade. In the worksheets toolbar click compare selected blinds. Now you can see that the selected blinds are highlighted in yellow and when you navigate to the worksheet summary you can see that a new line has been added with your selected item summary total. From here you can add the selected items to the shopping cart, or if you want to continue comparing you can click clear summary which, when clicked, will remove the highlights and the summary row but your blinds will remain on your windows in the worksheet. Using the select check-box in combination with the worksheets toolbar is also great if you need to remove multiple blinds at once, or to add multiple selections to your shopping cart.
