I love Nike. I love Nike advertising, Nike ads, Nike commercials, Nike marketing strategy, Nike branding, and Nike brand strategy. I love all of it, and I love it a lot. What's more, I'm not alone. Nike ads have built the Nike brand into a juggernaut that appeals to almost every single man, woman, and child on this planet. Nike Advertising Power Why does Nike branding work so well? Nike advertising is full of excitement and everything that makes a good sporting-goods ad, but Nike ads are nearly unique in how good they are. So what is the deal with Nike marketing strategy that makes them so great? It's the message that is contained in Nike commercials and every piece of Nike branding that goes out. Nike advertising revolves around a single, universal emotion that is felt the same by nearly everyone on the planet. The idea of struggle and determination is what gives Nike commercials their fire. And every piece of Nike branding revolves around this thing How Nike Ads Capitalize on Archetypes If it told you that Nike marketing strategy is thousands of years old, you probably wouldn't believe me. However, Nike branding, like their name (originating from the Greek Goddess of Victory Nike) is as old as the Greek Civilization. Great works like the Iliad and the Odyssey revolve around the archetype of the hero. The hero is someone who faces a great foe, one who is seemingly insurmountable, and through dedication and perseverance, prevails. Nike brand strategy truly does hail from the time of the ancient Greeks, and there's a reason it still works. This is because the feelings that Nike commercials evoke are feelings that all humans have. The heroes in Nike advertising are universal heroes, regardless of age, race, gender, or anything else. The Real Message of Nike Commercials Nike commercials show all sorts of ripped, young men and women pushing themselves to the limits against a foe, but what are Nike ads really portraying? They're portraying you and me. Nike brand strategy knows that everyone sees the hero in themselves. Nike branding understands that even though we aren't slaying dragons or rescuing princesses, just getting out of bed in the morning to go to the gym, to work, to school, or anything else, is as trial in and of itself, and Nike commercials are all over that. How Nike Brand Strategy Comes Out in Nike Commercials Nike branding relies on a five-step formula to really drive the Nike marketing strategy home in Nike commercials. Nike ads, with very few exceptions, follow this five step formula in one way or another. The five step formula in Nike advertising is how they show the various stages that the hero must go through in order to fulfil his quest. Nike branding simply channels the story of the hero, one that has been told for millennia, into Nike ads and watches the brand explode. The 5-Steps Nike Branding Uses in Nike Ads Nearly every piece of Nike advertising follows the 5-step formula of Nike branding. First, Nike ads show first to the challenge, in the zone, doubt and suffering, rededication, and finally, victory. Nike branding uses these five steps to universally appeal to men, women, and children all over the world, and to great effect. What Each Step in Nike Marketing Strategy Means Key to Nike ads are the five steps. Nike commercials tend to begin with someone being the first to the challenge, first to the plate, the first up. This is how Nike brand strategy demonstrates first to the challenge. Nike branding then shows the person in the zone, working hard at whatever it is they're doing, and then comes the doubt and suffering. It's at this point in Nike ads that we are unsure if the main character is going to make it through, but then Nike marketing strategy kicks back in with rededication. The character rededicates herself to the goal, and attains victory. So to recap: -Nike advertising is a powerhouse because it taps the deepest emotions we feel as a species -One of these emotions is that of the hero, an archetype that human beings all over the world can all feel -Nike commercials do this by using a 5-step formula that shows the hero overcoming great struggles. http://602communications.com/

The easiest way to do this is to create your own passion niche. To do this, you cross two passion niches together. For example: crossing Pugs with coffee. It’s not enough to target one niche with PoD - you need to have a clever twist to your designs. And this is what crossing two passion niches helps you achieve. Having products that speak to customers and embody THEM in a unique way that they haven’t seen before is what motivates them to BUY. *HOW TO FIND & COPY WINNING DESIGNS* Use Shutterstock to look exclusively for illustrations (these usually look the best when printed on t-shirts). Once you’ve set that, type in one passion niche e.g. Pug Dog. It can be quite difficult to cross two niches together at once, so here’s a pro tip: look up just ONE passion niche and scroll through the art people have already made and use THAT as inspiration. Using this technique, Sarah found a cross niche of Pugs and Unicorns. Next, you need to make sure the cross-niche is in demand. To do this, use Facebook’s ad targeting tool and see whether your cross niche falls within an audience of 100,000-500,000 people. Example: Target both keywords “Pug” AND “Coffee” and see how broad the audience is. If it falls under this range, there is enough demand to create a store out of. *HOW TO ADD PRODUCTS TO YOUR STORE* After you’ve found a cross-passion niche design that have good potential to test and sell, you’ll want to add them to your store. In this tutorial, we used Printful, which is free. Here are the step-by-step instructions to do this: Step 1: Download Printful from the Shopify App Store and click “Get”. Once loaded, click the “Install App” button and create an account. Step 2: Click the “Add product” button. Select the option “Choose File” and test it using a FREE sample image as shown in the video. You don’t want to go and buy a design, only to find that it looks terrible on a shirt! Step 3: Continue by clicking on the “Proceed to mock-ups” button and double check that ALL elements of the design - especially text - are visible and not too small. Then click the “proceed to description” button. Step 4: On the next page, you can update the text that’ll appear on your product listing for it. You can change the title, description and whatever else you like. When done, click the “proceed to pricing” button. Step 5: Here, you have to two options. 1) Set each individual price for each shirt. Or 2) if you’re too lazy, you can add whatever profit margin you want on top of it - e.g. 50% profit to each sale. Whichever option you pick, click Product Collections and select the right one. To finish off, click submit to store. *HOW TO SET UP PAYMENTS* When a customer actually comes in and orders it, we need to be set up to pay Printful for the order. Here’s how to do this: Step 6: On the Printful dashboard, click the “billing” button. Next, click the “Add Payment Method” button, and then select the “Save Payment Method” button. After this loads, type in your credit card number and give your billing address. Step 7: And once you’ve done that, scroll down and click Save Payment Method, and then just be a little more patient again and let Printful load. Once it has, your payment method is all set. [EXTRA TIP] *HOW TO ADD YOUR LOGO TO THE SHIPPING SLIPS ON THE PACKAGE* This helps to build a real, actual brand for your store and encourage repeat customers! Step 8: In the settings page inside the Printful app, select “Packing Slip” from the menu. Next, click “Select Image to Upload”. Find your store logo image file and open it. After a few seconds, when completely loaded - click “Save”. But remember - if you want to build a brand and have repeat, happy customers, then it’s important that you send them an awesome product. Here are some tips to do that. #1: Upload an HD image for so that your customers will love their shirt. #2: Avoid pictures that have backgrounds #3: Remember, you can print on MORE than just shirts! Did you know that you can print onto all SORTS of products? Wine glasses, blankets, clocks, even SHOWER CURTAINS! It’s not just t-shirts that sell well with Print on Demand - so don’t be afraid to get creative! #4: Avoid getting sued and buy the RIGHT image license DON’T FORGET: You can’t just use the standard image license when purchasing images on Shutterstock to resell by printing them on products. Casting Car Emblems - from 3d printer to METAL casting for vehicle restoration - Lost PLA Method
Reproducing vehicle emblems is commonplace in car restoration, particularly antique emblems. It's usually done by Lost Wax Casting. Here I show how a car emblem can be made at home on a 3D printer and then cast into metal, using the Lost PLA Casting method. For demonstration purposes, I used a few examples of auto emblems I found at Thingiverse.com as well a making a couple myself using Fusion 360. This allows the car badges to be scaled to fit individual vehicles. After that it's just a simple matter of casting to bronze. Now bronze might not seem to be the right colour choice, but it's an ideal, non-corrosive material that can be chrome plated. With its long and pointed nose, it can reach top speeds up to 150–200 miles per hour. It didn’t always look like this. Earlier models were rounder and louder, often suffering from the phenomenon of "tunnel boom," where deafening compressed air would rush out of a tunnel after a train rushed in. But a moment of inspiration from engineer and birdwatcher Eiji Nakatsu led the system to be redesigned based on the aerodynamics of three species of birds. Nakatsu’s case is a fascinating example of biomimicry, the design movement pioneered by biologist and writer Janine Benyus. She's a co-founder of the Biomimicry Institute, a non-profit encouraging creators to discover how big challenges in design, engineering, and sustainability have often already been solved through 3.8 billion years of evolution on earth.
