How to Brand Yourself/Business, Define Your Values and Standout in Your Market | Dan Martell

How do you create a brand that stands out in your market? Do you know your brand values and what it stands for? How about how to create an irresistible offer? In this video, I share the 3 most important steps you need to take to nail your branding and stand out in the marketplace. 4 Steps To Finding Your Brand’s Soul http://www.danmartell.com/branding/ Are you an entrepreneur? A brand that ascribes itself in permanent ink on the minds of your ideal client from the moment they first encounter it? That’s what I tackle in this week’s video. It all comes down to your brand. Your brand is what people “feel” about your business. It’s the outcome of every interaction, direct or indirect, that someone has with your business. A truth: your brand can’t be created, it can only be extracted. It comes from within. In this week’s video, I’ll show you how I helped my sister-in-law create an amazing brand that’s helped her stand out in an extremely competitive marketplace (real estate)... … as well as the branding framework I turn to over and over again to create brands that spark loyalty, affinity (and sales). It all comes down to these 3 steps: 1. Values: If you have kids, what beliefs would you leave them? 2. Ideal Customer: Who would you love to serve AND that has money? 3. Irresistible Offer: Education value, guarantee, no brainer. Ignore these steps and you’ll just blend in with the rest of your competitors... just another “me too” product/service that does X. I believe you can do better. I KNOW you can do better! Follow these 3 steps and share with me in the comments what you came up with! Have an incredible day! With gratitude, – Dan Don't forget to share this entrepreneurial advice with your friends, so they can learn too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PYlaowox_fw ===================== ABOUT DAN MARTELL ===================== “You can only keep what you give away.” That’s the mantra that’s shaped Dan Martell from a struggling 20-something business owner in the Canadian Maritimes (which is waaay out east) to a successful startup founder who’s raised more than $3 million in venture funding and exited not one... not two... but three tech businesses: Clarity.fm, Spheric and Flowtown. You can only keep what you give away. That philosophy has led Dan to invest in 33+ early stage startups such as Udemy, Intercom, Unbounce and Foodspotting. It’s also helped him shape the future of Hootsuite as an advisor to the social media tour de force. An activator, a tech geek, an adrenaline junkie and, yes, a romantic (ask his wife Renee), Dan has recently turned his attention to teaching startups a fundamental, little-discussed lesson that directly impacts their growth: how to scale. You’ll find not only incredible insights in every moment of every talk Dan gives - but also highly actionable takeaways that will propel your business forward. Because Dan gives freely of all that he knows. After all, you can only keep what you give away. 16 FAMOUS LOGOS WITH A HIDDEN MEANING (That We Never Even Noticed)

06:28
How to design a successful logo? How to build a famous brand for your business? Some of the most well-known logos in the world were purposefully designed to indicate something much more than simple beauty. In fact, it seems that in some cases, every line, curve, and color has meaning behind it. Adidas, Apple, BMW, Coca-Cola, Toyota… We see these famous brands everywhere but never consider what their logos exactly mean. Curious to know the secret? Watch the 16 famous logos with a hidden meaning you've never noticed. #logomeaning #logosecret # Hyundai 0:33 The letter ’Н’ symbolizes two people – a client and a representative of the company – shaking hands. Adidas 0:52 The current logo is three stripes at an angle which together form a triangle. This symbolizes a mountain, which in turn represents the challenges that all sportsmen have to overcome day after day. Apple 1:21 Rob Janoff, the designer who came up with the world-famous Apple company logo, explained his idea in one of his interviews. He bought a bag of apples, placed them in a bowl, and spent time drawing them for a week, trying to break the image down into something simple. Vaio 1:58 The first two letters of the Vaio logo symbolize an analogue wave. The last two are similar to the numbers 1 and 0 — that is, symbols of a digital signal. Amazon 2:14 The orange arrow is similar to a smile because the company wants its customers to be satisfied. The arrow is also stretched between the letters ’A’ and ’Z’, in a hint that the company sells absolutely every product you can imagine. Baskin Robbins 2:40 The pink-colored parts of the "BR" section make up the number 31, which is how many ice cream flavors Baskin Robbins used to famously sell. Toyota 2:56 The logo represents a stylized image of a needle eye with a thread passing through it. This is a hint at the company’s past – they used to produce weaving machines. Continental 3:28 Continental, a famous car tire producer, has a logo in which the first two letters depict a car wheel. Formula 1 3:41 If you look carefully at the white space between the letter ’F’ and the red stripes, you can see the number 1. Pinterest 3:59 On Pinterest, people collect images they like from across the Internet and ’pin’ them to their online boards. That’s why the image of a pin is hidden in the letter P. Beats 4:17 Beats, an audio equipment producer based in the USA, uses a logo in which the letter ’B’ looks like headphones on a person’s head. Toblerone 4:32 The famous chocolate company based in Bern, Switzerland, has a silhouette of a bear in its logo. That's because Bern is sometimes called a city of bears. BMW 4:55 The logo is simply a part of the Bavarian flag, the area of Germany where the company originated. LG 5:18 The logo is a stylized image of a person’s face. According to the company, this represents its aspiration to have human relations with their customers. Evernote 5:34 The corner of the elephant’s ear is folded over in a similar way how people fold the corner of a page to make notes. Coca-Cola 5:57 In the space between the letters ’O’ and ’L’, you can see the Danish flag. It’s purely a coincidence. Nevertheless, Coca-Cola has used this as part of its marketing campaigns in the Scandinavian country. If you’ve enjoyed this video, hit that thumbs up button! What does BRAND AMBASSADOR mean? BRAND AMBASSADOR meaning - BRAND AMBASSADOR definition - BRAND AMBASSADOR explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. A Brand Ambassador (sometimes also called a Corporate Ambassador) is a person who is hired by an organization or company to represent a brand in a positive light and by doing so help to increase brand awareness and sales. The brand ambassador is meant to embody the corporate identity in appearance, demeanor, values and ethics. The key element of brand ambassadors is their ability to use promotional strategies that will strengthen the customer-product-service relationship and influence a large audience to buy and consume more. Predominantly, a brand ambassador is known as a positive spokesperson, an opinion leader or a community influencer, appointed as an internal or external agent to boost product or service sales and create brand awareness. Today, brand ambassador as a term has expanded beyond celebrity branding to self-branding or personal brand management. Professional figures such as good-will and non-profit ambassadors, promotional models, testimonials and brand advocates have formed as an extension of the same concept, taking into account the requirements of every company. The term brand ambassador loosely refers to a commodity which covers all types of event staff, varying between trade show hosts, in store promotional members and street teams. According to Brain, the job of a brand ambassador was undertaken typically by a celebrity or someone of a well-known presence, who was often paid considerably for their time and effort. Nowadays however, a brand ambassador can be anyone who has knowledge or can identify certain needs a brand is seeking. The fashion industry however, solely rely on celebrity clientele in order to remain brand ambassadors. Furthermore, brand ambassadors are considered to be the key salesperson for a product or service on offer. They must remain well informed when it comes to the brand they are representing, due to their nature of being the go-to person when questions arise from consumers. The brand ambassador's job is to drive results through communication tools either publicly, such as social media, or privately including emails, messaging and further one-to-one channels.

Small Business Branding - What's Your Brand

03:34
What’s Your Brand? With so many people and businesses looking for work, having a strong personal brand has become a priority. What’s your personal brand identity? Regardless of who you are, your age, position, or the business you happen to be in, all of us need to understand the importance of branding. Why do people pay $4 for a cup of coffee when they could just as easily buy a similar product for $1.50? The answer my friend is branding…the power of a brand. A great brand is not about touting features and benefits. It’s about connection on an emotional level. It’s about loyalty that defies logic. The question is, how do you build that type of brand? Were responsible for our own companies: “ME, MYSELF & I, INCORPORATED.” To be in business today, our most important job is to market the brand called YOU. It’s a simple concept but hard to do. Social media tools like Twitter, blogs, Linked-in and websites have leveled the playing ground and have enabled us to reach incredible heights. Personal branding describes the process by which we as individuals and business owners differentiate ourselves from the competition ….. by identifying and articulating our individual competency and value. In this way, we should be trying to become thought leaders in our field, to become recognized among peers and mentors for our innovative ideas, and to demonstrate competency. Enhancing our reputation as experts in our field, establishing a reputation of reliability and credibility with our peers and customers ….. Will all help advance our business and career. Perceived VALUE is key   Ask yourself: Is there anything about your company that makes people fall in love with it? Are your customers emotionally connected to your company? Is it easy for a client to leave your company? You want your customers or associates to think of you different than your competition. You or your business need to be an entity that consistently demonstrates a strong, reliable, able and constantly producing good value for them! That’s your brand:  Value, Differentiation and Marketability! Personal branding typically begins with establishing an inventory of core competencies, expertise, demonstrated abilities, and existing level of recognition, informed by market research or feedback. So What’s your brand?

How to Define Your Personal Brand for Online Business Success

05:00
http://www.jelenaostrovska.com/define-your-personal-brand/ How do you define your personal brand so that you stand out in a noisy market place? That's the question a lot of business owners are asking (including myself not that long ago). If you want to achieve something truly significant in your business, you MUST find ways to stand out. Staying in a "safe" or "comfortable" zone is too risky, and won't get you anywhere. That's why personal branding is something you should be focused on. In this video you're gonna learn the process on how to define your personal brand for online business success. Feel free to share it out with anybody who might benefit from this! There are several questions that I've personally been asking myself, and something I've been sharing with my coaching clients. This will help you big time with identifying your brand. Trust me, it's not just about your tagline or logos, or pretty colors on the website. It's a lot more, than that! Number 1: "Who are you?". That's the question that people get usually get stuck on. They're like, "I don't know who I am. I'm just me. Isn't it enough?" Answer this question. Put it on the paper. Write it down right now. I share my answer in the video below. But this is a very good exercise you can practice right away. Number 2: "What do you stand for?". What are your core values? For me personally, I'm all about integrity. I think in business, integrity is everything. If you said you were going to do something, please do it. Another one of my core values is honesty. Write all of your core values down on paper. What is important for you? Number 3: "Who do you serve?". Is it people that are looking to buy a house? Or is it people that are looking to lose some weight? Maybe it's people that are looking to start an online business? Is it people are looking to travel more, that are looking to more time freedom? Write it down. Again, it always goes back to what you promote and what you're passionate about. Knowing your audience is very key when it comes to personal branding. The next question is "What do you like to talk about?". Maybe you like to talk about branding. Or maybe you like to talk about skin care. Maybe you like to talk about travel, or about Facebook advertising. Your content must be congruent with your brand. If you decide to brand yourself as a fitness expert, talking about Facebook ads is not really a good idea. Very very critical. In the video below I go into more details that will help you define your personal brand. There's a couple more things you want to take into account when growing that brand and making sure you stand out from the crowd. Need more help? Personal Brand Vs Business Brand | Should I Rebrand My YouTube Channel?

03:13
I am rebranding Jobs in the Future. Personal brand vs business brand, find out why I am rebranding my youtube channel and why its important to consider rebranding yours! What is the best brand strategy as a small youtuber just getting started? ► You Might Also Like Gary Vee's Thoughts on the matter ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w1lWdffrL74 ) Whether you are just starting out or you have been in youtube a long time there is a constant struggle to know if your youtube brand is right. There is a lot of talk about having a personal brand, business brand, company brand, or youtube show. All of these options are good, so the real question is how do you decide? When Jobs in the Future first started I wanted to feature different jobs with incredible future potential. I wanted to show viewers how to become educated and prepared for jobs that have high value now and in the future job market. I saw great feedback from viewers and I was excited to see so much positive feedback. But what I realized is that "Jobs in the Future" as a channel or persona is slightly confusing the specific intention of what I am trying to communicate. So I needed to reevaluate my goals and focus. I need to reconsider the channel brand and how ready it was to see the growth I am planning to see in 2018. That is why I are executing a relaunch. Come January 1st I will be relaunching as Ben G Kaiser. Some video you will see will already have the new branding, but the entire overhaul will be released on January 1st. Of course we will continue the same great content. The reason for rebranding is clarity. We talk about jobs, but not in the context that the title alludes to, its far more education and motivation than J-O-B. Thank you so much for being apart of the 1st 150 subscribers. I am so excited to see what 2018 will bring. With your help I think we can take this from 150 to 10,000 subscribers! How to Sell Shirts to Promote Your Brand - Start a Business From Scratch #5

33:56
Jump to 14:45 for the start of our t-shirt conversation. The first half of our conversation centers around marketing your business on social media. This sets the stage for the second conversation about using t-shirts to promote your brand. How do you sell t-shirts? What should you price t-shirts at? Can a t-shirt business be profitable? First of all, yes, a t-shirt business can be profitable, but it's not easy. For a business that is focused on selling some other kind of product or service, I recommend looking at t-shirts as a way to build brand loyalty rather than a way to make profits. Unless you're operating in very large volume, it's difficult to make much money from shirts because the margins are often slim. However, using t-shirts as a way to strengthen the connection you have with your audience is an effective strategy. As you're not losing money on the t-shirts, it can be a great addition to your brand—one that is welcomed by your audience. --- 🔵 SHOW NOTES http://seanwes.tv/22 🔵 RESOURCES 👥 Free Course: http://AudienceBuildingCourse.com 📖 Overlap Book: http://OverlapBook.com ⭐️ Membership: https://seanwes.com/membership 🔵 WEBSITE http://seanwes.tv https://seanwes.com https://seanwes.com/podcast 🔵 SOCIAL https://twitter.com/seanwes https://facebook.com/seanwes https://instagram.com/seanwes 🔴 LISTEN TO SEANWES TV AS A PODCAST http://seanwes.tv/podcast

What is branding?

02:02
Please watch: "Gary Vaynerchuk's Using It for Brand Growth. Shouldn't You?" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fKvb8ISN0Pg --~-- With over 6,400 books written on branding, the subject has gotten complex. Yet simplicity is where the power exists. This video was conceived, written and narrated by award-winning designer, branding specialist and Fast Company blogger David Brier to distill branding down to its basics answering that basic question "What is branding?" (from http://www.RisingAboveTheNoise.com ) Animation, motion graphics and SFX by the incredibly talented Saar Oz. Written plainly with equally minimalistic motion graphics, this video unveils the magic, the spark and the simplicity that is branding in its most fundamental form. Perfect for entrepreneurs, CEOs, innovators, rebels and disruptors of any kind. If you found this video meaningful, please consider subscribing. THE NARRATION: What is branding? As creators, we want to think it’s about us, our brilliant talent, our skills we’ve perfected over the years — all these magical things: color, space, shape, tension, harmony, typography, beauty, simplicity. Then why do certain brands become great brands? Brands that: • connect, • resonate • and spread like wildfire... It’s because we tapped into our ability to see. Not as ourselves, but as others. To see the minute details and trends others don’t see. Not just on the computer screen. Or in books. Or in galleries. But in — and through — the eyes, hearts and minds of people. Geniuses have that special skill to look at the universe of people and translate that into the universe of visual and written communications, to transform those observations we each sense into something we can each tangibly see. And understand. That is the magic. That is the spark. That is the genius... that gets each of us interested. And keeps us going. For something greater. For something previously impossible. For something nobody ever thought of before. That is the magic of branding. http://www.RisingAboveTheNoise.com marketing | entrepreneurship | cmo | branding | david brier | how to brand | adobe after effects | motion graphics | typography | innovation | leadership |
