The dramatic increase in average life expectancy during the 20th century, ranks as one of society's greatest achievements. Even the less developed regions of the world have experienced a steady increase in life expectancy since world war ii. In this video, i am going to share with you top 10 countries with longest life expectancy in the world. Number 1. Japan, “The Land of the Rising Sun.” With an estimated population of 127 million, and where rice, sushi, and tempura are the most popular dishes, japan has a life expectancy of 86.8 years for women, 80.5 years for men, or a combined of 83.7 years. With plenty of fresh vegetables and fish on the menu, on average, Japanese women can expect to live almost 90 years, and Japanese men can live well past 80. Number 2. Switzerland, “The Land of Chocolate and Cuckoo Clocks.” Home to numerous lakes, villages, and the high peaks of the alps, Switzerland has an estimated population of 8.3 millions, and boasts a life expectancy of 85.3 years for women, 81.3 years for men, or a combined average of 83.4 years. Different studies point to wealth, a sense of well-being, and diet that includes love of dairy products, as some of the reasons. Number 3. Singapore, “The Lion City.” This global financial center, Singapore has an estimated population of 5.6 millions, and a life expectancy of 86.1 years for women, 80 years for men, or a combined average of 83.1 years. From 50 centenarians in 1990, Singapore now boasts a total of 1,100 centenarians in just 26 years. Number 4. Australia, “The Land Down Under.” The Australian bureau of statistics show that the life expectancy for Australian women is 84.8 years, 80.9 years for men, or a combined average of 82.8 years. Why are Australians living longer? According to the organization for economic cooperation and development, “Australia's universal health care system is one of the best in the world,” with an above-average of 2,400 dollars spent on healthcare per person in 2010. Number 5. Spain, “The Land of Hyraxes.” Recent world health organization data show Spain has a life expectancy of 85.5 years for women, 80.1 years for men, or a combined average of 82.8 years. With a population of 46 millions, Spain boasts around 15,000 centenarians, with more than 500 persons already 110 years old and older. There are several reasons why the Spaniards are living longer. Among them is the positive health effects of a Mediterranean diet. One report showed that it can reduce the risk of heart attacks and strokes by 30 percent. Number 6. Iceland, “The Land of Fire and Ice.” This Nordic island nation is defined not only by its dramatic landscape of volcanoes, geysers, hot springs and lava fields, but also for having one of the highest life expectancies in the world. For women, life expectancy is 84.1 years, 81.2 years for men, or a combined average of 82.7 years. What is the secret? A fish-heavy diet full of heart-healthy omega-3 fatty acids has been cited by some as a reason why so many on this glacier-topped island of 320,000 people live well into the golden age. Number 7. Italy, “The Boot.” This “boot” shaped nation has a combined life expectancy of 82.7 years, 84.4 years for women, and 80.5 years for men. A small village of Acciaroli is an excellent example of Italians' long life expectancy. This village has a population of only 2,000, yet the village boasts some 300 elders who have reached the age of 100 - and about 20 percent of those centenarians have reached 110. Number 8. Israel, “The Holy Land.” Regarded by Jews, Christians, and Muslims as the biblical holy land, Israel boasts a combined life expectancy of 82.5 years, 84.3 years for women, and 80.6 years for men. What makes Israelis live longer? Efi Gil, a psychologist at Rabin Medical Center, points to family cohesiveness as one of the reasons, while Gabi Ben Dor, a sociologist at Haifa University, cites positive outlook in life as a contributing factor, and Devora Lieberman, director of geriatrics at Soroka Medical Center, considers good life among the elderlies as a major element. Number 9. Sweden, “The Land of the Vikings.” This Scandinavian nation with thousands of coastal islands and inland lakes, Sweden has a combined life expectancy of 82.4 years, 84 years for women, and 80.7 years for men. According to a recent survey, Sweden is the best country in the world in which to grow old. A generous welfare and pensions, reliable transport, and community spirit give the country's over-60 population the greatest quality of life. Number 10. France, “The Land of the Franks.” Known for its medieval cities, alpine villages, and Mediterranean beaches, France is tied with Sweden when it comes to life expectancy. France's progress follows 60 years of steadily rising life expectancy. The improvement was due to advances in the fight against cancer and heart disease, more extensive screening against diseases, and lower rates of smoking and alcoholism - particularly among men.

"It's a life-extending strategy most men probably won't want to pursue, but new research suggests eunuchs live longer than non-castrated guys. Historical Korean eunuchs — men who had their testicles removed in order to secure high positions in the palace hierarchy — outlived their non-castrated counterparts by as much as 20 years, the study finds. The results will be published tomorrow...in the journal Current Biology. In animals, castration tends to lengthen life span, likely because male sex hormones aren't great for the health. Testosterone is an immune-system suppressor, for example, and can also increase the risk for cardiovascular disease...".* Would you get castrated for the chance of a longer life? Women Shorten Men's Lives - MGTOW Gender and life expectancy http://www.dw.com/en/gender-and-life-expectancy/av-38540918 Gay married men live longer https://www.health24.com/Lifestyle/Man/News/Gay-married-men-live-longer-20130312 MGTOW Mystery Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EeeKQa6cynE Hi Everyone Sandman Here, This video is brought to you by a donation from Mark and here's what he briefly has to say: "Hey Sandman, I ran into an interesting video called Gender and Life Expectancy. There's a scientist that goes to a monastery and finds out that women live to the same age in a monastery as nuns as they do in the outside world. But when he looked at the longevity of monks they lived five years longer than all of the men in the outside world. We hear that men live shorter lives because of our genes. But here we have a large group of men that have been living away from women and their lives were five years longer. The person speaking in the video discusses a number of possible reasons for this discrepancy. They even mention the stress of living in the regular world as a reason. But if stress played such a huge role in longevity than wouldn't it make sense that the female nuns would live five years longer than the general population of women as well. They won't say what the real reason for men living five years longer in a monastery. My suspicion is that it's stressed caused by women. Ironically stress caused by women aimed at other women doesn't appear to effect their lifespan but stress from women against men does. What do you think Sandman?" Well Mark thanks for the donation and one of the more interesting topics I've heard in quite sometime. Jordan Peterson says that men live shorter lives because our testosterone makes us do dangerous things. But I agree with you after watching the video you sent me Mark that they won't mention the fact that stress from women, directed at men plays a huge role in the longevity of men. That's to be expected because women can't take responsibility and agency for anything it seems. So why would they take responsibility for nagging men into an early paupers grave. It kind of makes me want to break into the monastery. Another thing that wasn't mentioned was the issue of fapping. I'm sure there will be a ton of guys in the comments section mentioning how men's essential seed is keeping them living longer. It might make a sperm sized difference but I don't think it can account for a five year difference in longevity. My thinking is that stress from the opposite sex is the main culprit too. I remember watching a video a couple of years ago with Vladimir Zhirinovsky about how all the women in his family and friends outlived the men and put them into early graves because they would keep nagging them for coats and shoes. I'm sure that someone will post that video down below in the comments section. I'm sure more than one of you will. Everyone laughs at that video because what he's saying is true. But it looks like we now have proof that what he's saying isn't just funny but it's scary. What I'd like to know is why men in the monastery live one year shorter than the women? My thinking is they lost a year before they entered the monastery from all the women they dated in high school and possibly their early twenties. I think that it would reasonable to assume that for each decade of your life that you're dating or in relationships as a man you lose one year give or take a few months for every decade of your life that you're involved with women. 10 images licensed and paid for through BigStock.com. According to a new study that focuses on Russians and their consumption of vodka, drinking more might lead to premature death or other negative health consequences. Russia reportedly has a very low life expectancy, with a quarter of men dying before age 55. According to a new study that focuses on Russians and their consumption of vodka, excessive consumption is a major cause of the country's premature deaths and other negative health consequences. Russia reportedly has a very low life expectancy, with a quarter of men dying before age 55. Researchers studied a group of 151 thousand Russians over the course of 10 years. Participants in the study who were heavy drinkers were reportedly more likely to die from a variety of causes including alcohol poisoning, car accidents, suicide, violence, cancer, and other diseases. Results of the study show that men who were smokers and drank a liter and half or more of vodka every week were 35 percent more likely to die within 20 years than men who drank less than a half liter per week. Studies of Russian history show the influence that alcohol has had on the country's mortality rate. For example, when alcohol was illegal in the Soviet Union for a few years in the 1980s, deaths among men under the age of 55 decreased. After new sales regulations were enacted in 2006, sales of liquor dropped by 33 percent along with a decrease in mortality rates. Despite this, the average life expectancy of the Russian male is reportedly only 64 years.

Normally in people with diabetes have a decreased lifespan. In men, the average lifespan reduces by 10 years or so and in women the average lifespan reduces by 13 years or so.an average of statistics across the globe is what I have been quoting now.in mea, if say a person is supposed to live upto 77 years, it reduces by 10 years, that is he may live upto 67 years and in women, if they supposed to live upto 81 years, it may come down to 13 years, that is , they may live upto 67 years.one of the major reasons why the people’s lifespan reduces because diabetes can cause changes in the blood vessels and heart, where the blood vessels narrow down and the atherosclerosis can come up, that is narrowing of the blood vessels, increase in blood pressure and cardiac complications. About 505 of the people in the younger age group can also do is because of the mismanagement of diabetes. Like if they have taken an overdose of their medication, their blood sugar can dip and then many people have found to develop complications subsequent to that . As modern medicine and our understanding of health has developed, humans have been living longer than ever. (In the past fifty years, the average life expectancy in the United States alone has increased by ten years.) Various factors are associated with longer life, including a healthy diet, a comprehensive healthcare system, and strong social connections. Countries bearing these traits see their citizens living into their 80's. Beyond these three keystones, a few more trends emerge: women outlive men in almost every country; wealthier countries have higher life expectancies; and, universal healthcare is present in nearly all top countries. Do you think you can guess which countries have the highest life expectancies? From a Caribbean island to a major Asian player, a heavy-drinking country to a heavy-smoking country, the countries on this list may surprise you. Find out if your country ranks in the top 25 in this list of the 25 Countries with the Highest Life Expectancies in the World. NB: Data for this list has been pulled from the United Nations' Department of Economic and Social Affairs World Population Prospects (2015 Revision). Different reporting agencies list slightly different numbers and sometimes categorize countries differently. For instance, the CIA classifies Monaco and San Marino as individual countries; they then list both lands in the top five. (Monaco's average life expectancy at birth is even a whopping 89.52 years, blowing all other countries out of the water by at least five years.) However, numbers for these countries can be skewed as many of them have large, wealthy immigrant populations who live longer and highly affect the data. Thus, the UN report is used. So you want to live to be 100? The answers to living a long and happy life may come from Japan which has the longest average life expectancy in the world (83.84 years) and where 2 million people are over the age of 90. Believe it or not, 6 of the top 10 oldest people alive are from Japan including Nabi Tajima of Kagoshima who is 117 years old and the last human alive born in the 19th century! How did so many Japanese get to live so long? What are some of the things Japanese do right? In this episode, John travels to Tottori Prefecture to the area around Mt Daisen where his friend Tomiko-san gives him some advice about how to live a long life and how she's lived to be 106 years old and still working on the farm! Her secret? Tofu. She started to make tofu in the 1950s when doctors said residents had to reduce high blood pressure. She made her own tofu for her family and her diet combined with good habits including staying busy and working hard have strengthened her mind and body. She still walks and writes tanka poetry. I also ask Mr. Seiichi, my 97 year old Japanese neighbor his secret and hear from a Shinto priest about his thoughts and personal experiences with living a very long and happy life in Japan. It's impossible to say exactly what has led to Japan having the longest average life expectancy in the world but these things may help: ★ Green Tea ★ Less fatty foods ★ Seafood ★ Fermented foods ★ Bath culture / Hot Springs & Onsen ★ Smaller portions ★ Education on personal responsibility ★ National safety / low crime rates ★ Respect for the Elderly (It's a national holiday too!) ★ DNA Special thank you to Daisen Town & Yonago City in Tottori Prefecture for the help. According to the Center for Disease Control, the shorter life expentancy of U.S. men is linked to preventable injury deaths such as gun violence, car crashes and drug poisioning. The research shows that gun violence alone accounts for a a 5 month, 14 day decrease in life expectancy compared to men in 12 other similar countries. In 2012 the life expectancy for U.S. citizens was 2.2 years less than people in similar developed countries, with injuries accounting for 1.2 years of that difference. According to Dr. Mark Rosenberg, "the potential for saving lives there through a research effort, it’s extraordinarily high." The U.S. has made efforts into reducing deaths in car accidents and by drug poisioning, but has made no strides towards mitigating gun deaths. http://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2016/feb/09/guns-car-crashes-drugs-us-male-life-expectancy http://www.wochit.com This video was produced by YT Wochit News using http://wochit.com

Mexico’s drug violence has caused male life expectancy to drop by several months, according to recent studies published in the American Journal of Health Affairs. The study found that men were ten times more likely than women to be killed by violence, such as executions, shootouts and turf battles between gangs and/or drug cartels. The study also suggested that diabetes may be also playing a role in the life expectancy drop. In comparison to other Latin American countries, such as El Salvador, Honduras and Venezuela, Mexico’s homicide rate remains relatively low. Jose Marcelino Ortiz and Margaret J. Howell discuss the dangerous factors affecting Mexico’s men further on the Lip News. Life expectancy is now falling in Britain. Life expectancy has fallen in some areas of the country, according to a new study. Women are now expected to live to an average age of 86.2 and men 83.4 by 2041, the Office for National Statistics revealed. The predicted lifespan has dropped by a year since 2015 and people living in secluded regions and former mining towns seem to be the most affected. Public Health England revealed places like Torridge, in Devon, and Hartlepool had seen a 12 month drop in life expectancy for men, according to The Times.

21, 2016 -- People are living longer than ever, but men still trail women in life expectancy, a new study shows. An international team of researchers reviewed data from more than 1 million people worldwide. For example, life expectancy in Sweden over the last 200 years increased from the mid-30s to over 80. "We've made a bigger journey in lengthening our lifespan over the last few hundred years than we did over millions of years of evolutionary history," study co-author Susan Alberts, a biology professor at Duke University in Durham, N.C., said in a school news release. "We've made a bigger journey in lengthening our lifespan over the last few hundred years than we did over millions of years of evolutionary history," study co-author Susan Alberts, a biology professor at Duke University in Durham, N.C., said in a school news release. But despite the overall increasing life expectancy -- the result of advances in medicine and public health -- men still tend to have shorter lives than females, something that is true in other primates as well. "The male disadvantage has deep evolutionary roots," Alberts said. "It's puzzling," she said. "If we can make life last so long, why can't we shrink the male-female gap?" Possible reasons include genetics and higher levels of risky behaviors in men, the researchers suggested. The study was published online Nov. 21 in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. http://www.upi.com/Health_News/2016/11/21/Life-expectancy-increasing-but-women-still-outlive-men-across-the-board/4611479777633/ http://www.wochit.com This video was produced by YT Wochit News using http://wochit.com

Numbers show Koreans average life－span has increased. But a closer look reveals they′re also living with more illness than ever， with many suffering from a range of diseases in the last decade of their lives. Park Ji－won shows us the results of a recent survey. Koreans′ healthy life expectancy，... which is an estimate of how many years someone might live in a ″healthy″ state，... is 68 years old for men and 72 for women. The ranking puts Koreans in 9th out of 188 surveyed countries worldwide， according to a recent study by the University of Washington and published in the British medical journal Lancet. Japan tops the list， with a healthy life expectancy of 71 for men and 75 for women. That sounds like good news， but in Korea， like in the rest of the world， the gap between healthy life expectancy and life expectancy is growing， indicating that people are living longer but with more illness. In Korea， the gap between life expectancy and healthy life expectancy is almost 10 years. Life expectancy for men is 77 years old， and 83 years old for women，... meaning men have nine years of illness before they die... and women， 11 years. The gap is mostly due to chronic diseases，... and according to a separate study by the Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs，... Koreans over the age of 65 have an average of three chronic diseases each. The most common are high blood pressure， arthritis and stroke. ″As Korea is rapidly becoming an aging society，... Korea′s healthy life expectancy is highly likely to decrease due to such chronic diseases.″ The study′s lead author says health policy should now focus on ways to prevent or treat the major causes of illness... to keep citizens in good health so they can invest more time and energy into enhancing the quality of their lives. Park Ji－won， Arirang News.

The life spans of people around the world are increasingly going up,... thanks largely to developments in modern medicine. According to the latest World Health Organization figures on life expectancy,... Korean *women are now expected to live to the age of 84... ranking 8th in the world. Kim Min-ji has the details. People around the world are living longer,... with the average global life expectancy rising about six years over the last two decades. According to an annual report by the World Health Organization,... girls born in the year 2012 can expect to live to the age of 73,... and boys to 68. South Korea saw the largest rise in life expectancy among high-income nations. The average for Korean women was 84-point-6 years,... and for men, it came to 78 years. This is up nine and 10 years respectively from 1990. As for North Korea, the life expectancy over the same period remained unchanged at 73 for women,... and 66 for men. By gender, Japan had the highest life expectancy among women at 87 years,... followed by Spain, Switzerland and Singapore. Korea came in eighth on the list. As for men, Iceland came out on top with a life expectancy of 81 years,... trailed by Switzerland and Australia. Korean men failed to crack the top 10. On the other end of the spectrum,... nations in sub-Saharan Africa had the lowest life expectancy in the world. The figure stands below 55 years in nine countries. Margaret Chan,... the director-general of the WHO attributed the rise in global life expectancy to fewer deaths of children under the age of five. However, she pointed out that there is still a major divide between rich and poor... and that people in high-income countries have a much better chance of living longer. The report also urges nations to tackle the problem of childhood obesity. It says that some 6-point-7 percent of children under the age of five worldwide were overweight. Kim Min-ji, Arirang News.

Nailing down genetic factors linked to longevity in humans has proven challenging, but a new study points to a deletion involving growth hormone receptor gene’s exon 3 (d3-GHR) as possibly playing a significant role. Among 841 people from long-lived populations, the proportion of individuals carrying two copies of d3-GHR increased with age. The effect was specific to men, who lived some 10 years longer than those without the mutation. The results were published Friday (June 16) in Science Advances. http://www.the-scientist.com/?articles.view/articleNo/49698/title/Mutation-Linked-to-Longer-Life-Span-in-Men/ http://advances.sciencemag.org/content/3/6/e1602025

It′s a widely－known scientific fact that women generally live longer than men， but new figures from the OECD show the gender gap in life expectancy in South Korea is far higher than most developed nations. A variety of factors are at play，... but experts say the high smoking rate is not doing Korean men any favors. Sohn Jung－in reports. New data from the OECD show that， as of 2013， South Korea′s life expectancy at birth stood at 81－point－eight years， more than eight years above the OECD average. But if we look at the figures separately， it was a different story for South Korean men. By gender， South Korean men were expected to live until 78－point－five years of age，... six－point－six years less than women′s 85－point－one years. Women′s life expectancy was the fifth highest among the 34 OECD nations. South Korean men were around the middle in 16th. South Korea′s gender gap in life expectancy was the fifth highest， tied with France. The gap was relatively narrow in the Netherlands， New Zealand， the UK and Iceland， but much larger in Estonia， Poland， Slovakia and Hungary. Experts say the discrepancy can largely be attributed to higher smoking and alcohol consumption rates among men compared to women. South Korea had the third highest male smoking rate at 36 percent， but ranked the lowest in women at just over four percent. An official at the Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs pointed out that， along with smoking and drinking， other factors like cancer and the high suicide rate probably contributed to lowering life expectancy. He added that South Korean men are more exposed to risks as they tend to have more active social lives than women. Sohn Jung－in， Arirang News.

Life expectancy for South Korean babies born in 2014 is 82.4 years, five years longer than those born in the previous year. According to Statistics Korea, male babies born last year are expected to live on average 79 years, six and a half years less than their female counterparts who are expected to live 85.5 years. The difference in life expectancy between men and women in the country has been narrowing since the gap peaked in 1985 with women living 8.4 years longer. A few factors that contribute to the gap are the larger proportion of men who die from liver diseases as well as the higher death rate of male babies from cancer, 28.4 percent compared to 16.9 percent of female babies. A difference in region was also found, with a higher life expectancy in Seoul and its surrounding Gyeonggi Province. A lower-than-average life expectancy is forecast in the southern industrial city of Ulsan and the eastern Gangwon Province.
