That's Mark Gungor, one of the most sought-after speakers on marriage and family in the US. He's also a pastor and a ridiculously funny guy. In this video, "The Tale of Two Brains," Mark explores the differences between men and women, and he pretty much nails it. It's no secret that men and women have always had difficulty fully understanding each other. But no one puts it better than International marriage speaker and comedian Mark Gungor. Intermittent Fasting: Why Women Should Fast Differently than Men

Click Here to Subscribe: http://Bit.ly/ThomasVid Website: http://ThomasDeLauer.com Intermittent Fasting: Why Women Should Fast Differently than Men - Thomas DeLauer Everywhere you look on the internet, you're going to have someone telling you that fasting is terrible for women. They're going to tell you that your thyroid is going to be destroyed. They're going to tell you that your hormones are going to be completely out of whack, and that you're never going to recover. Well, it's not quite the truth. In this video, I want to give you the A to Z breakdown of what happens to the female body during a fast, during intermittent fasting in particular. How often should a women fast? What can they expect? What's happening with their hormones and what's happening with their reproductive system? In this video, I'm going to take you through A to Z what goes on, starting with the starvation and the hunger hormones, leading into your reproductive hormones, then leading into your thyroid. Let's dive right in, and men, this video's for you, too, because it's going to help describe exactly what's going on in your body, as well. Okay, here's the thing. When it comes down to starvation hormones ... we're talking leptin, ghrelin, insulin, things like that that we have to be paying attention to when it comes down to hunger and satiation ... women are much more sensitive to them. It's nothing bad, nothing wrong with them. It's simply a protective mechanism. It's not the fact that the thyroid's shutting down. It's the fact that the female body is recognizing that there's no food coming in, so they don't want to be producing eggs. They don't want to be ovulating. It's natural. Why would a female body want to produce eggs to stimulate potential reproduction if they're not eating, if they're starving? That's where this whole thing starts. It all has to do with leptin, ghrelin, and insulin. But it goes much more than that. We're going to talk about what's happening with the brain and with the gonads now. Let's talk about GNRH. GNRH is a particular thing that is secreted by the hypothalamus in both males and females, and it has to do with what's called the hypothalamic-pituitary gonadal axis. I know lots of guys that are proud of the HPTA, thinking that it only has to do with testosterone and their male bodies. Oh, no. That's not the case. The HPTA axis, that entire process, is men and women. And here's how it works. Your brain has an area called the hypothalamus. This hypothalamus ends up secreting something known as GNRH. This GNRH tells the pituitary gland to produce luteinizing hormone and follicle stimulating hormone. What these hormones end up doing is triggering the production of sperm and testosterone in men and producing ovulation and triggering progesterone and estrogen in women. They both do the same thing, just with a different end result. We still have the same catalyst, the same hormones. Now what ends up happening is how women go through this process compared to men. Now that we know GNRH and we understand the HPTA has to do with men and women, we can talk about the precursor to the GNRH, which is where the problem really starts, and that's something known as kisspeptin. Where the problem occurs with kisspeptin is just with people not knowing what's really going on. Most of the beef in the fasting community and most of the beef with women fasting in general all has to do with kisspeptin. . 10 Ways Men And Women Think Differently

04:23
Men and women respond to many life situations in a completely different manner. From dealing with a breakup to battling an illness, they are total opposites in the way they react, the way they think, and the way they live. Subscribe to our channel: https://goo.gl/cv6b96 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Description: Men and women handle life differently. From dealing with a breakup to battling an illness, they are complete opposites in the way they react, the way they think, and the way they live. Here are a few ways men and women think differently. When it comes to dealing with emotions, women are definitely more expressive and in touch with their feelings. Most women don’t see anything wrong with letting the tears flow down no matter where they are. But guys are a little more guarded when it comes to expressing themselves. They tend to keep their emotions bottled up until they’re all alone and can let it all out in private. Women have been found to experience pain more intensely than men. Estrogen makes a women’s pain receptors more sensitive, especially during her menstrual cycle. Women also recover from pain faster, they will seek out a doctor more quickly, and they don’t allow pain to control their lives. Testosterone, the male hormone, elevates men’s tolerance for pain and allows them to withstand it for much longer. After a bad breakup, women take time to process their emotions in order to heal from their relationship coming to an end. This helps them move on and move forward with mending their broken heart. But men never really take the time to recover from a breakup. Instead of dealing with the sadness and the sense of loss, they try to move on as quickly as possible, but they tend to carry on the baggage for years to come. Men are much more visual than women, so they prefer to watch naughty movies to get themselves in the mood. Catching a glimpse of a woman’s body parts can send a man’s mind into a frenzy. But women are a bit more complex when it comes to sexual desire. Visual stimulation doesn’t always lead to arousal. A woman is more turned on by a series of things, including compatibility with her partner, emotions, and a sensual ambiance. Check out the Science & Technology Playlist: http://bit.ly/21NCpRG If you like this video subscribe to List25: http://bit.ly/1rPhSQH We all know that men and women are different from each other. That much is solidly within the world of fact. And many of those differences stem from our biology (there are a good amount that could be chalked up to our environment, but that isn't the subject of this article). We all know this, but what exactly are those biological differences, apart from the obvious ones? Well, fortunately for us, doctors and scientists study things such as these. In healthcare, it is critically important to distinguish between men and women because they need different types of attention. From drug doses to emotional support, there are varying needs in every department which is why doctors and scientists study this so thoroughly. They have to make sure that both men and women receive the best level of care. For our purposes today, however, we're more concerned with finding out what exactly those biological differences are. At least the less-known ones. These are the differences that you were never aware of. They're not obvious, but they exist. And they define at least a little bit of the difference between male and female. So, without further ado, these are 25 Biological Differences Between Men And Women That Aren't Commonly Known! Why do men remember less than women? | Azriel Grysman | TEDxHamiltonCollege

16:04
Professor Azriel Grysman, Visiting Assistant Professor of Psychology at Hamilton College, discusses his research on how men and women reveal emotions and feelings differently. The core message of this talk is that consciousness is ill-defined, and that our notions of concepts like memory and gender are in fact based in real experience and in brain activity. Recognizing that fact can open us up to new ways of thinking about diversity, gender, and memory. Azi Grysman is a visiting assistant professor of psychology at Hamilton College. He received his Ph.D. from Rutgers University in Cognitive Psychology, with training in cognitive development. Azi researches autobiographical memory, which concerns memories relevant self and identity, such as memories of pivotal life events and the life story. He is in his third year teaching at Hamilton College, and gives courses on topics such as Human Memory and Cognition and Consciousness. Azi lives in Clinton with his Gavi, and his children, Miriam and Leor. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Why are women paid less than men? | The Economist

02:19
The gender pay gap is not caused by women earning less than men for the same job. It is largely because women choose different careers and suffer a “motherhood penalty”’. Click here to subscribe to The Economist on YouTube: http://econ.st/2Bnu9E9 Women who work full-time, still earn 15% less than men. But that's not because they are paid less for the same jobs. It's because they're in different jobs. Women are in less senior jobs. In Britain, France and Germany, 80-90% of executive jobs are held by men. Women also tend to choose different occupations. In America over 80% of teachers, nurses, secretaries, and health workers are female and these jobs tend to be lower paid. Primary school teachers in the West earn nearly 20% less than the average graduate job. Nurses earn less than police officers. Cleaners less than caretakers. Women are as ambitious as men. They earn the majority of university degrees. In America, they now ask for promotions as often as men. But it's the price women pay for motherhood that holds them back. In Britain, 70% of mothers reduced their working hours or switched to a less demanding job compared with 11% of fathers. In Australia it's 56% of mothers and 19% of fathers, while in France 55% of mothers scaled back compared to 13% of fathers. When an American women goes back to work her salary is on average lower than it would have been if she hadn't had a child. The race for gender equality is far from over. As more children choose non-traditional careers and men do more childcare, fewer working women will be held back. Daily Watch: mind-stretching short films throughout the working week. Men's and Women's Brains Are Wired Differently

Men's and women's brains are wired very differently, according to research that involved looking at brain scans to find various differences in the structure and connectivity in male and female brains. Researchers have also found that instead of having a fixed neural blueprint, we might be adjusting this blueprint according to societal standards. Lissette Padilla and Elliot Hill discuss how these new findings may be reinforcing stereotypes about men and women, in this clip from the Lip News. Do Men and Women Eat Doritos Differently?

Doritos has come out saying that speculation they are crafting chips specifically for women is false. "We already have Doritos for women,” the company said in a statement. “They're called Doritos." The phrase “Lady Doritos” was trending after PepsiCo CEO Indra Nooyi said that women, unlike men, do not like to lick their fingers to get the dust off after snacking on the chips. She also said that women don’t chew the chips as loudly as men, and suggested a new Doritos just for ladies.

MEN ARE FROM MARS WOMEN ARE FROM VENUS SUMMARY

07:48
Men are From Mars Women are From Venus Summary : Relationship advice for men can come in many forms, but the wisdom that you've got from others might not be serving you well. Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus by John Gray will forever change the way that men and women view each other. If you've ever felt like your intimate partner is from another planet -- you're not alone. On a daily basis, most men feel like their girlfriend or wife is from another planet, and women feel the same way about their men. When you're finished reading the book, you'll probably still feel like we're both from different planets, but you'll walk away with incredible enlightenment, and the new perspective will help you improve an existing relationship or one that you might have in the future. Relationship advice for men, women and couples really can be as simple as gaining an understanding of the other person. If you think your relationship is as good as it gets, then you haven't read this book. I believe Men are From Mars, Women are From Venus serves as a powerful manual that every man should own, and it's just as useful for women and couples. Honestly, even teenagers can benefit from the advice in this book, and I wish someone had told me to start reading books like this when I was younger. The girls from my childhood would've made A LOT more sense to me! Anyway, to all of my subscribers, I hope you guys enjoy this video. My last video was an experiment for videos without a script, and I think it's safe to say I'm going to stick with the scripts for most future videos. To my subscribers, you guys make everything possible, and every like, comment and share is so important to me and the purpose of this channel. I hope you've enjoyed my summary of this book. I hope to enrich your life with every video and do my best to keep you far from average... -Julian

However, there is actually a really good reason to have a horizontal crossbar on a bike; namely, the horizontal crossbar ends up adding quite a bit of strength to the frame of the bike. This was particularly important in some of the early bikes, which were often made of significantly weaker materials than modern day frames, occasionally even being made of wood. 5 Things Women Don’t Realize About Men!

11:51
5 Things Women Don’t Realize About Men! Description: It’s no secret that men and women are completely different from each other and it’s these differences that cause a lot of frustration and misunderstanding in our dealings with each other. The term, “Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus” is often seen as a cliché but is an accurate way of describing just how different the sexes really are. Often times messages get lost in translation and cause all sorts of problems because of our inabilities to see and understand the world through the eyes of the opposite sex. But, if we take a moment and try to understand each other, we can save a lot of time and frustration and maybe, just maybe we can all live together in harmony. Ok, maybe we will never get that far, but to give Women a better understand of men and just how different we really are from each other, let’s check out the 5 Things Women Don’t Realize About Men. Let’s begin. Men Love to Make You Laugh 5. Natural Beauty 4. Men Love to Make You Laugh 3. Men Cry Too! 2. ?? 1. ???? JOIN PragerFORCE! For Students: http://l.prageru.com/29SgPaX JOIN our Educators Network! http://l.prageru.com/2c8vsff Script: After years of studying men and women, I’ve come to realize that a key to a happy relationship with the opposite sex is to recognize that we have two natures. One I call “human animal” and the other “human spirit.” Human spirit is the elevated part of us. It enables us to be our best selves. Human animal is the more primitive part -- the instinctive part that lashes out, often in response to a primal fear of scarcity or competition. When that happens, I call it an attack of human animal. It’s a cave woman or a caveman attack. And what happens is there’s literally an eclipse of human spirit. So human spirit is still there, but it’s in the background, overshadowed by the animal reaction that is driven by a perception of a threat to one’s survival. So, when men and women perceive a threat to their survival, they react by instinct, and instinct is defined as a primal, biological urge, impelling a response that brings relief of tension. Now, I bring that up because It’s a good place to look. Whenever you’re experiencing tension, there’s a very good chance that you’re reacting instinctively from your caveman or cavewoman, and not from human spirit. Now, if we’re going to bring out the best in ourselves and in each other, we have to understand what causes an attack of human animal; and what does that, is anytime that we perceive that our survival is in jeopardy. So it could be a threat to our physical safety, it could be a threat to property we’re attached to, it could be a threat to our identity, to our sense of self. Now, if we’re going to bring out the best in each other, we have to understand that the masculine and feminine aspects of our nature experience survival, and therefore safety and security, in different ways. For the masculine, survival depends upon one’s ability to produce results. So the masculine will feel safe and secure when they have the greatest opportunity to produce results. And that comes when they are respected and trusted by the people that they work with and the people they care for. The feminine on the other hand, experiences safety and security when she feels connected, when she’s getting the attention and the interest that she needs from the people around her that give her a nearly constant sense of being connected and therefore safe and secure. Now one of the problems is that men and women have instincts that literally antagonize the other’s caveman or cavewoman. So, for example, the way that a man thinks, which we call “single focus”, will cause him to pay attention to one thing at a time. So if he’s watching television the woman in his life may feel ignored, and she’ll get this incredible sense of tension in her body, and she’ll try to do things to try to connect with him, and connect with him, and connect with him, which, as a “single focus” person, he’s going to experience as an interruption and be annoyed by it, and cause a downward spiral. DEPRESSION: The 7 DIFFERENCES BETWEEN WOMEN & MEN

07:34
Pre-order My New Book Today! ARE YOU OK? http://bit.ly/2s0mULy Today I talk about the 7 differences between men and women when it comes to depression. Obviously, everyone will feel different, and nothing is cut and dried but these are just some of the statistical differences that we see between the sexes. I think it's important to note because women are found to be 2x more likely than men to struggle with depression. So the more we know, hopefully the sooner we can reach out for help. 1. Women tend to feel more sad and worthless. Whereas men tend to feel more irritable and agitated. 2. Women tend to take the negative icky feelings out on themselves. While men, are more likely to lash out at others. 3. Women tend to cope with food and friends. While men tend to cope with TV, sex and alcohol. This really just shows us how both sexes can unhealthfully numb out from their depression when it gets to be too much. 4. Women also tend to get depressed over stressful life events. Men are able to better see that it's just a situation and it will go away and be okay. Women on the other hand, will ruminate at night and really worry or stress about the situation. 5. Women are much more likely to also struggle with a coexisting eating disorder. Why would that be? Because we tend to cope by using food! If you find yourself using food to numb out from your feelings of depression, please reach out for help. It can get better, but the sooner we get help, the easier recovery will be. 6. Depression is more debilitating to women. I would assume this is because we ruminate and lean on our friends during these hard times. This can lead to us feeling worse and worse and potentially ruin relationships. So please get professional help sooner rather than later! 7. Women reach out more often then men! So men, reach out! Let's all get help sooner rather than later. How women and men approach money differently: risk, investment, and return | Sallie Krawcheck

06:51
Women have different financial strategies and insight than men, argues Sallie Krawcheck, the co-founder and CEO of Ellevest, a digital investment platform for women. Female investors have a different sense of why they want to make money, pursue specific goals more readily, and show a unique sense of risk awareness. Krawcheck says it's important for women to play the market and plan financially because there is a real retirement savings crisis in this country which disproportionately affects them. Read more at BigThink.com: https://bigthink.com/videos/sallie-krawcheck-how-women-and-men-approach-money-differently-risk-investment-and-return Follow Big Think here: YouTube: http://goo.gl/CPTsV5 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/BigThinkdotcom Twitter: https://twitter.com/bigthink So if you think about investing today it tends to be all about outperforming the market. It tends to be about making more money and it tends to be about picking and choosing the right stock, the right mutual fund. Mutual fund versus an ETF. The right money manager. And that has worked eh, I was going to say well for the population, but frankly it has worked okay for the population. Why? Because the goal that the industry set itself a long time ago of active management and outperforming the market…well less than one percent, well less than half a percent of money managers outperform the market consistently over any five year period. Okay, so back up. When we did our research with women the concept of “beating the market” fell completely flat. The concept of “winning” fell flat. In fact, even the concept of “making more money” fell pretty flat—sort of surprising to me, it seemed like a pretty good goal. What worked for women were actual goals. So okay, if I’m going to put my money aside and invest my money, I want to be able to in X number of years buy my dream home, have a child, start a business, retire well, take that trip around the world that I wanted to. And so we found that women tend to be more goals-oriented and focused than men. Another finding for us: Men tend to, if you ask them the question about their risk tolerance—which, by the way, the whole industry does—men will answer. By the way, they don’t know what it is. We only ever learn what our risk tolerance is really when we go through downturns. But women we found were, “Oh, oh my gosh. You know what, I’m going to think about that. Let me think about that and I’ll get back to you.” And they never do. It really shuts down the conversation. And so we instead of asking a question we know people don’t have the wherewithal to answer, instead we say “Okay, let us learn about you through taking you through the product and the capability. Tell us what your goals are and then we’ll tell you essentially how much risk you can afford.” So for an example you and I are the same person. We make the same salary. We have the same level of education. We’re the same age. And you don’t have an emergency fund so you don’t have cash set aside for a rainy, rainy day and you want to have a baby in four years. I just need to retire, right. It doesn’t really matter what I think my risk tolerance is. You don’t get a lot of risk. I get plenty of risk. And so we tweaked things like that as well as really – so making it goals based, approaching risk differently, taking into account again that women live longer and salaries peak sooner, forecasting out their life curves. And then the most important change we found is that most people think of and describe women as risk-averse investors. What we found, maybe a subtle point, is women are risk-aware investors. And what they wanted was not hey, explain risk to be in standard deviation and “Let’s really go through that statistical analysis,” but more, “Hold on, how bad can it get?” And so what we would do is we track you, track women to their goal and say in X percent of markets it could be this bad and in Y percent that bad. And if you fall off track, if you fall off track to reach your goal we’ll reach out to you, tell you you’re off track and tell you what you have to do to get back on. Deposit another thousand dollars, retire six months later. So those are a few of the differences, some of which are straightforward (and others of which are more subtle) that we found were barriers to keeping women from investing.

Why Do Men Have Deeper Voices?

03:05
Cristen explains why male humans' voices generally get lower than female humans' during puberty. Learn more at HowStuffWorks.com: http://health.howstuffworks.com/sexual-health/male-reproductive-system/male-puberty2.htm Share on Facebook: https://goo.gl/HgvFuO Share on Twitter: https://goo.gl/LlTbnC Subscribe: http://goo.gl/ZYI7Gt Visit our site: http://www.brainstuffshow.com Hello, Brainstuff! I’m Cristen, and today we’re going to talk about the human voice. First off, let’s acknowledge that everyone is a special and unique butterknife, and there’s no rule about how men and women’s voices should sound. But on average, adult men’s voices have what’s known as a lower “fundamental frequency” than adult women’s voices. The fundamental frequency is simply the scientific term for how high or low a person’s natural speaking voice is. Sound frequency is measured in hertz, which means how many times something happens in one second. So a sound wave that vibrates 100 times per second produces a tone of 100 hertz. The more cycles per second, the higher the pitch. Babies usually cry at a frequency of around 500 hertz. Children have speaking frequencies in the range of 250 to 400 hertz. By the time of adulthood, however, men have an average fundamental frequency of about 125 hertz, and women about 200 hertz. What happened here? Why the big difference? To understand why men’s voices end up lower than women’s voices, we need to look at how the body produces sound. So let’s take a magical journey to the inside of your neck! Leading from your lungs to the cavity behind your mouth and nose is a pipeline called the trachea. You use it to breathe. At the top of the trachea is a hollow organ called the larynx, or in common parlance, “the voice box.” The larynx is also what allows us to make sound for talking or singing. To do this, you use your lungs to push a column of air through the larynx while using your laryngeal muscles to press together a pair of membranes called the vocal folds, or more commonly, your vocal cords. When you close the vocal folds like this, the air you push out through them makes them vibrate, and this vibration leads to sound. There are several factors that can all have some effect on the fundamental frequency of a person’s voice, like the size of the larynx and differential development of facial bones and cavities in the head, but the most important factor to talk about is the length of the vocal folds. If you pluck a string, the length of the string affects the frequency of the note that plays. Think about a guitar. When you press a string down to a higher fret on a guitar, you shorten the length of the part of the string that vibrates when you pluck it, and this produces a higher note. The same thing happens inside your larynx! The longer the vocal fold, the lower the note. During puberty, both boys and girls experience growth of the vocal folds, leading to lower voices. But the male hormone testosterone, which is released by the testicles during puberty, typically causes boys’ vocal folds to grow longer and thicker than girls’. On average, adult women have vocal folds somewhere around 10 millimeters long, while adult men have focal folds in the neighborhood of 16 millimeters. Consequently, women are up there on the upper frets soloing into oblivion like a high school kid who just learned to play “Eruption” by Van Halen, and men are letting the open strings ring like the intro to “Nothing Else Matters” by Metallica. Y’know? Y’know? Bonus! Everyone knows what happens when you inhale some helium from a party balloon or, you know, straight from an industrial helium transport truck – your voice pitch gets higher. This is because helium is less dense than air. But did you know you can reverse the effect and give yourself a deep, booming bridge-troll-voice by breathing a gas with a higher density than air, like xenon or sulfur hexafluoride? But remember, your body needs air to live, and breathing anything other than air can potentially be dangerous, so we don’t recommend trying this at home. Women, on the other hand, spend virtually nothing to see unclothed men. Why? Some say that the reason is that men are socialized into viewing women as sex objects and that women are socialized into not viewing men as sex objects. But if that’s true, how do these people explain gay men? They are as aroused by pictures of naked men as heterosexual men are aroused by pictures of naked women. Obviously, then, it’s not socialization. It’s that men are programmed by nature -- not by society -- to respond sexually to the visual. This is an area in which men are so different than women it's probably impossible -- no, not probably, just outright impossible -- for a woman to truly understand. Of course women find some men attractive. And of course a woman can have an intense reaction to seeing a very appealing man. But there’s still no comparison. The visual alone arouses men. It takes far more to arouse a woman than seeing naked men. If that’s all it took, most husbands would walk around the house naked whenever possible -- or at least every time they wanted sex. And the average heterosexual man is excited countless times a day simply by seeing women -- in person, on billboards, in magazines, on television, and even in his imagination. This is not the case for women. Yes, there are some male strip shows for women. But few women ever go, and the few who do attend them in groups, a “girls’ night out.” And for every one of those shows there are probably ten thousand female strip shows for males, most of whom attend alone, not as a participant in a guys’ night out. Let's be honest. There is no magazine featuring men's legs for women to look at and get aroused by. But there are websites and magazines of women's legs for men. And are women paying to view topless men? Men pay good money to look at topless women. Again, that doesn't mean women never get turned on by merely looking at some men. Of course they do. But it’s only some men -- on rare occasion a stranger, and more usually a celebrity. Men get turned on by any sight of female flesh on almost any female. Why do men lose weight faster than women? | Herbalife Healthy Eating Advice

03:38
It’s true men lose weight faster than women. But why? Why do men tend to lose more quickly than women? Learn why with Susan Bowerman, MS, RD, CSSD, FAND in this week’s healthy eating video. Too many women figure that they’re ‘not trying hard enough’ to lose weight. But it usually isn’t that they aren’t doing enough – or that men are trying harder. It really comes down to the fact that men and women are simply made differently – and those differences have a big impact on weight loss rates. There are three main reasons why men lose weight faster than women. It has to do with body size, body composition, and how they burn calories. The larger a person is, the more cells they have and the more calories it takes to maintain body size. Men tend to be larger than women, so they need more calories to maintain their weight. Men tend to have more lean body mass than women do so their body composition is different as well. Lean body mass is simply everything that’s not fat – so this component includes your bones, organs, muscles, ligaments, tendons and fluids. Every pound of lean body mass you have burns about fourteen calories a day or about thirty calories per kilo. Since men tend to have more lean body mass than women do, their daily calorie burn is higher. That alone puts men at an advantage when it comes to weight-loss because they’re able to burn more calories. Men also burn more calories than women do when exercising. This is because it takes more calories to move a larger body through space. Since men tend to be larger than women, it takes more calories to do the same amount of exercise at the same intensity. Also, because men burn more calories at rest it does make it a little easier for them to lose weight. For example, a heavy-set guy would need about 2,500 calories for him to maintain his weight. If he wanted to lose weight, he can cut 1,000 calories out of his daily intake, and only consume 1,500 calories per day. This is a reasonable amount of food. With this calorie deficit he can pretty easily lose about two pounds a week. A women on the other hand who maintains her weight on 1,600 calories per day wouldn’t be able to cut so many calories out of her daily intake. It’s not safe to cut down below 1,200 calories per day. So, if she goes from 1,600 to 1,200 calories a day, she’s only cutting out 400 calories a day. At a 400 calorie a day deficit, she’ll be lucky if she loses about half a pound per week. The rate at which a person will lose weight depends on a lot of things. To learn more about this take a look at this nutrition article: http://hrbl.me/1JJswLC. For many, weight maintenance is a lot harder than losing weight. For advice and tips on weight management check out this article: http://hrbl.me/1kps5LH Learn more about healthy nutrition by checking out Susan Bowerman’s playlist at http://hrbl.me/HealthyLivingVIDEOS or take a look at Susan Bowerman’s healthy eating blog: www.DiscoverGoodNutrition.com

How are Men's Attitude different from Women's Attitudes

I wanted to start a discussion on the difference in men and women's attitudes in stressful situations. Here is an article on how women react differently than men while driving: Study Finds Men And Women React Different In Road Rage Situations Women are more likely to swear and flip the bird, men are more likely to key a car Posted: Sep 09, 2013 By: AOL Autos Staff Shutterstock A new study on bad driving behavior from Insurance.com investigated how we react when we engage in road rage and found that women and men react differently. Women were found to be more likely to swear or flip fellow drivers then their male counterparts. Men are no angels though: They were twice as likely as women to key a car or flash their high beams at offending drivers. Leon James, a psychology professor at the University of Hawaii, told Insurance.com drivers are more likely to display aggressive behavior in the car rather than in everyday interactions because drivers feel protected and faceless while driving. Driving is also seen as a competitive activity, raising aggression in both men and women. A thousand people, equally split between men and women with children 12 years or younger, were asked about their bad driving habits and whether they regret their more extreme actions. The good news is three-fourths of those polled regretted their road rage, or at least certain aspects of it. A full 75 percent felt bad after swearing in front of their children while driving. Dinging someone's car in a parking lot and driving away was the next most regretted faux pas at 62 percent. Only 34 percent, however, felt remorse for doling outs brake-checks to tailgaters. Liza & Ben of GenderationY answer the burning question: Why Are Men More Logical than Women?
