Full report: http://autoexpert.com.au/buying-a-car/top-20-ways-to-beat-a-car-dealer The Top 20 ways to beat a car dealer Buying a new car from a car dealership is awful. Getting that new car should be a pleasant experience, but it’s not. The deck is stacked against you, and your opponent (the car salesman) is match fit. That car salesman is not on your side. The dealership is not ‘helping you’. The dealership's mission is to extract your cash - as much of it as possible. Car salesmen have a playbook full of tricks and traps. They do it every day. This video - and these 20 tips for beating the dealer - is the cure. 1. Shop at the end of the month 2. Buy a car in stock 3. Pitch a low offer 4. Abrogate the limit 5. Walk away 6. Sell your used car & get independent finance 7. The dealership is a vending machine 8. Any time a car dealer talks, it’s probably bullshit 9. Time pressure is definitely bullshit 10. There’s plenty of profit in the deal 11. Normal conversational rules and etiquette don’t apply 12. Don’t answer questions - ask them 13. Don’t cave in to emotional pressure 14. Dealer delivery is a scam 15. Don’t queue up 16. Scare tactics (protection) 17. Accessories 18. Extended warranties 19. Branded insurance 20. Use a broker - that’s where I come in. My strong advice is: use all of these tips at the dealership. Negotiate the best deal you can on your next new car. Don’t pay a deposit. Don’t sign a contract. Don’t succumb to any of the car dealer's BS about the deal evaporating when you walk out the door (it won’t). Then contact me online at AutoExpert.com.au - I’ll get my brokerage onto this purchase, and they’ll use their inside knowledge and bulk-buying power to cut even more cash out of the car you want. There’s no obligation. It’s easy, quick and painless, and it’s not a scam. We’re currently saving new car buyers a total of more than $100,000 off the recommended drive-away price of new cars - every month. You can save too.

Watch more How to Buy a Car videos: http://www.howcast.com/videos/436886-How-to-Negotiate-When-Buying-a-Car Step 1: Determine the amount Question your credit union about a loan before talking to a dealer to compare rates. Find out how much cash your credit union will approve. This helps you limit the price range of cars you look at and test drive. Step 2: Research invoice price Go online to research the invoice price -- the amount the dealer pays the manufacturer -- before starting negotiations. While you're at it, check out any rebate information and hidden incentives for the dealer. You gain the advantage by doing your homework. Tip The minimum dealer profit is usually around 3 percent. Step 3: Examine four-square numbers Don't be fooled by the dealer's four-square information -- a worksheet the dealer will present you with when you sit down to negotiate that maps out purchase price, down payment, monthly payment, and trade-in value. Doing your own math prevents them from fudging numbers. Determine the interest rate and loan term before you arrive at the dealership to accurately project your monthly payments. Step 4: Know what monthly payment means Resist negotiating based on monthly payments alone, without contemplating the swelling interest rate or stretched loan term. Monthly payment results from the down payment, loan term, and interest rate. Step 5: Play the game Play the game as well as they do. Be surprised that they can't give you a better offer, even if the terms and price are reasonable, just to see if you can move them. They want to create pressure to close you now, but you have time that they don't -- use it. Tip Don't tell one dealer what another's quote was. You need their respect -- demonstrate that you deserve it. Step 6: Drive the bargain Tell the salesperson you will discuss an acceptable trade-in price for your old car, but first must have a satisfactory price on the new car. Drive the bargain when negotiating, impressing upon them you can sell it yourself for more than they'll pay you. Step 7: Prepare to walk Prepare to walk out if you are not handled respectfully or the price is too outrageous. In fact, with some due diligence, cut to the chase and play hardball -- tell the dealer your price and expect a yes or no. Step 8: Expect fees Expect an onslaught of fees and extras just when you think you're done. Some fees are unavoidable, but many can be easily bargained down or avoided. Virtually all extras are unnecessary and overpriced. Throughout the negotiation process, use your knowledge and the research you've done to get the best deal. Did You Know? Preston Tucker started a new car company on the back of his 1948 Tucker model. This company manufactured just 51 cars before failing in 1949.

Here are the updated top 10 tips for beating a car dealer and buying a cheap new car without getting ripped off. It's how you can fight back, and organise a much better deal on basically any new car. Buying a car is not fun. Everyone on the other team is match fit, and systematically incentivised to rip you off - if you let them. But it doesn't have to be this way. Here's how to recognise the car dealer's tricks and sidestep the traps. Let's focus on the car you want. It might not look like a commodity, but that's exactly what it is. There's no qualitative difference between the car you want at Dealership A and the same car at Dealership B. They came out of the same factory. Their mothers can't tell them apart. The dealership doesn't change them in any way, or add intrinsic value. The dealership is actually just a fancy vending machine. When you're buying a commodity, the only factor that matters is the price. Lowest price wins. That's what you need to deliver. For more advice, fill in the contact form on the right at www.autoexpert.com.au - I'll help you see just how low the price on your new car really goes. I'll also show you how to put your trade-in out to tender and arrive at the highest possible price, if you lack the time or the inclination to sell your old car privately. Buying a car is not an uplifting experience. It should be, but it's not. It's challenging, stressful and generally fairly unpleasant. But it doesn't have to be a rip-off. You absolutely can drive away in a cheap new car without being absolutely violated by a car dealer. Especially now.

In this video, I tell you how to negotiate a price on a new car using the dealership invoice pricing. As long as you make the sale quick and easy for the salesperson at the dealership, they will be more than happy to negotiate a small amount over the invoice price on a new car. If they refuse, you can simply go to another dealership or to another salesperson and present them with the same offer. Since the same new cars are available at every dealership within the same make, you can pretty much go to any salesperson and someone will definitely be willing to do this type of deal with you. I have used this car sales strategy with many family members and friends, and it has worked every time! Auto loans for any credit situation: http://bit.ly/AnyCreditLoans How to buy a used car. That topic is brought to me a lot because of my many years of car sales experience. There are plenty of reputable car dealerships out there that will do the right thing by the consumer. However, I have worked at a couple of places that I would not refer any member of my family to. You should try to have an independent mechanic look at any used car you are thinking about buying if it is more than 4 or 5 years old. Car dealerships are notorious for taking shortcuts on their used cars in order to make bigger profits. Unfortunately, the consumer who is unaware gets the short end of the stick. #usedcarsalesman #howtobuyacar

This is one of the best negotiation strategies to buy a new vehicle every time. Plus you will save yourself the hassle of dealing with a car salesperson face to face. At times the dealer / auto broker will go below invoice as well. One thing I forgot to mention in this video is that when that same Toyota dealership that originally offered my sister $322 per month and then went down to $268 per month (sorry in the video I said $222 to $168) when i got involved they said they could not honor that price cause my sisters credit score was shot. No problem... I co-signed for her and she left the dealership within an hour with her new car! Appreciate any Subs. Thank you. How to negotiate a fair car price. I maximize my value in every purchase. Many people may consider me to be a "cheap" person, however, I always tip well when acceptable service is provided and I always haggle and get the price that I want for most everything. Sales is game that is full of manipulation. If one can keep a straight face (AKA "poker face"), then there are deals than can be had. The truth is that most sales people are more concerned about volume of sales than they are profit-per-sale. Sales people benefit from volume of sales because their employers perform end-of-month reports to determine which employees are their top at sales. A salesperson that refused to let a potential sale walk away, instead of taking a small profit, will be less happy at the end of the month. Sure, a salesman wants to both maximize their profit per sale and lead volume of the sales for the month too. However, due to the variety of customer types, achieving this is often a next to impossible feat for a salesperson to accomplish. Within this video, I explain tactics that I use to deal with salespeople. I always get the deal that I want when buying stuff, especially cars. Within this video, I explain the techniques that I use to minimize the amount of money that I spend on depreciating assets. Within this video, I explain the techniques that I use to get the best price possible, when purchasing a new car. It's a matter of how one carries themselves both during the test drive and during the negotiation process for the new car. It's also important to use Kelly Blue Book (http://www.kbb.com) and Autobuytel (http://www.autobuytel.com) to research the anticipated value of the vehicle that you are trading in towards the purchase of the new car and to determine the MSRP (manufacturer's suggested retail price) for the various trim levels of the new car that you are trying to purchase. Armed with this information and a poker face, it's almost always possible to snag a new car for a fair price with an affordable monthly payment! I hope that you enjoy this video and please feel free to share this video with others. Also, please feel free to subscribe to my http://youtube.com/IrixGuy channel! Good luck on the car lot and always remember that salespeople are always at war with one another =) When you're sitting there negotiating, just look around the dealership at the fellow salespeople that have agitated looks because their co-worker looks like they're about to make a sale =)

The video will take you through a discussion on the various kinds of pricing in industry (wholesale vs retail), where a vehicle is purchased (auction, used car dealer, new car dealer or private sale) and checking the title of the car to make sure it matches the vehicle and the car isn't branded, salvaged or has any registered liens. Furthermore purchasing a used car information report, carproof or carfax accident reports and looking at past service records is discussed. Factors affecting insurance rates are also touched upon. Some tips on negotiation, including setting your price, timing, ignoring dealer fluff, purchasing warranties, avoiding unnecessary fees, spotting shady excuses, trade-ins, purchasing accessories from the dealer are presented. Finally once the vehicle is purchased, it must undergo an emission test and pass a safety certification before you are ready to accept the keys and drive away. Buying a used vehicle can be one of the largest purchases you make in your life. Significant savings can be had by purchasing a used car over a new car, however don't neglect to inspect the vehicle thoroughly in order to avoid significant headaches down the road. This six part used vehicle buying guide covers: 1) Exterior inspection 2) Mechanical Inspection 3) Interior Inspection 4) Road Test 5) The Paperwork & Procedures 6) After You Buy This video was shot with a Canon Rebel EOS T5i DSLR and a Canon PowerShot SX130IS camera. SUBSCRIBE HERE!! https://www.youtube.com/user/kevinhunter7 How to buy a car from a dealer with cash, with no credit, with bad credit, with your own bank financing, or with dealer financing. You need to know how to buy a car from a dealership. In this series, you'll get the best car buying tips anywhere. CATEGORIES: car, truck, suv, auto, used cars, autos, mechanic, automobile, vehicle, dealer, automotive news, auto shop, warranty, loans. Car buyers wonder "How do I buy a car and not get ripped off?" Beating the finance man at the dealership is a big part of it. From the Author of "13 Car Buying Mistakes" and "Car Scam of the Decade," Kevin Hunter presents these ten tips for beating the car dealership finance office. Has the Dealer Finance Manager ever ripped you off? Car Dealers have a right to make a profit, but do they have a right to lie to you? From the author of "13 Car Buying Mistakes," here are the "10 BEST Auto Finance tips" if you are buying a car! Want to know how you beat the Car Dealership Finance Man? This MUST WATCH video for Car Buyers is the advice you've been waiting for on how to survive the finance office at a car dealer. Kevin Hunter lays out the products, strategies, and tricks the finance officers pull every day on unsuspecting car buyers, and many of them get away with what they do. You don't have to be one of the people they succeed in deceiving. The F&I Manager, finance man, loan officer, business manager, or whatever the car dealer wants to call him or her... just remember this is the most skilled salesperson the dealership employs. They make more money than any other person in the dealership for a very good reason. They are sharks, and they are NOT looking out for you. They are looking out for themselves and the interests of their dealership. When they "shop" your car deal to many different banks, they are looking for the bank that allows them to pack the most product into your car deal. When you start seeing bank names like Santander, Capital One, Chase, Wells Fargo, Space Coast Credit Union, Regional Acceptance Corporation, Ally... just to name a few, you know you're sitting in a car dealers finance office. Kevin Hunter covers everything from extended warranties, GAP insurance, theft protection... otherwise known as window etching, paint sealers, carpet and fabric protection. All the details on HOW TO BUY A CAR, TRUCK, or SUV. This video was published to help you discover how you can save time and money on your next new or used car purchase by doing your homework first, and then going car shopping as an informed buyer. We are more than amused by a few of the car salespeople or car dealers who contact us and state that we are making a 'small problem' sound far worse than it is. We know there are honest people in the car business, and we receive positive comments from many of them, but it's definitely a buyer beware world out on the car lot! For all of you car buyers who are well steeped in reality, if you watched the video "Confessions of a car dealers backroom" you understand why you need to see this video. By understanding what mistakes to avoid, you'll not only become a smarter car buyer, but you'll also better understand what not to tell a car dealer when buying a car. It's true that you can play all your cards up front with an honest dealer, but unfortunately, they represent the minority of dealer owners (truly transparent and honest dealers make up about 40% of all dealers), and you are unlikely to know the difference until it's far too late. Be smart, do your homework, and you'll come home with a car deal that's good for you and the dealer. After all, that's what fairness is all about. We encourage you to be fair and honest. As a car shopper, live up to your end of the bargain, because it works both ways. Respect the dealers right to make money in your quest to get a fair and honest car deal, proving to them you're an honest person too. It's this kind of attitude by car dealers and consumers alike that will change the car business. We wish you the best!

This is one of the best negotiation strategies (IMHO) to get the best deal on any leased vehicle every single time. This will save you time, hassle, buyers remorse and of course money. A decade long commitment to protecting automotive consumers and providing exceptional customer service has translated into an A+ Rating with the Better Business Bureau. Alright now, you've selected the car, you've road tested the car, everything is fine, but still, remember one thing, you never fall in love with a car. Especially when you're negotiating to buy it. See, cars are just mechanical devices and there are all kinds of them. You can go to the next dealer and find the same thing so, don't fall in love. Now, it's time to make the actual deal. Now there are certain key things about making a deal on an automobile. You have to remember that the dealership is in business to make a profit, they're entitled to make a profit, they have a big overhead. So trying to get them below where they would make a profit, that's probably not going to happen because if they do that on a regular basis, well, they're going to be out of business shortly. So you want to negotiate a price based on your research that's fair to both you and the dealer. Now, once you get to that point, remember, everything that is promised to you, has to be in writing and it has to be approved by management. See this 'handshake deal' well, between you and the sales person that has no meaning what so ever, believe me. In writing, signed off by the manager. And always make sure that all of the terms, everything that you're going to be owed, everything that you owe and all of the numbers and everything, monthly payments, all of that, that it's spelled out in the contract and there are no blanks in the contract. Because blank spaces are well, they can be deadly. Normally the first offer that comes down to you is going to be higher then what the dealership would ultimately accept. And that means that you have to negotiate that you have to get your very best price. Now how do you go about doing that? Well one of the ways of course is just to ask for a lower price. But be realistic about it. If you're looking at a $25,000 car and you offer them $12,000 they 're going to think you're a jokester and they're not going to give it any credence at all. But, if you're very close to the numbers that you've seen in your research and let's say your research suggested $23,500 is a respectable price and you hit them at $22,500, well that's a reasonable offer and they may well match it or come back with something very close to it. Remember as you go through the process that every part of it is negotiable. The financing for instance, you can usually negotiate a lower finance rate unless you're dealing with some very very special promotional rate or something like that. And you can negotiate accessories, you can negotiate packages; the paint sealants and all of that if you're into that sort of thing. Well, all of that stuff is negotiable and you never want to pay the list price for them. The other thing to remember that all of thee add-ons, the paint sealants and all of that, you may be told that you have to do it today or it's gone. Best thing to do is to get up and walk out because nothing is that set in stone.
