Pablo Picasso: A collection of 855 works (HD)

01:20:00
Pablo Picasso: A collection of 855 works (HD) Description: "Pablo Picasso was the most dominant and influential artist of the first half of the twentieth century. Associated most of all with pioneering Cubism, alongside Georges Braque, he also invented collage and made major contributions to Symbolism and Surrealism. He saw himself above all as a painter, yet his sculpture was greatly influential, and he also explored areas as diverse as printmaking and ceramics. Finally, he was a famously charismatic personality; his many relationships with women not only filtered into his art but also may have directed its course, and his behavior has come to embody that of the bohemian modern artist in the popular imagination. It was a confluence of influences - from Paul Cézanne and Henri Rousseau, to archaic and tribal art - that encouraged Picasso to lend his figures more structure and ultimately set him on the path towards Cubism, in which he deconstructed the conventions of perspective that had dominated painting since the Renaissance. These innovations would have far-reaching consequences for practically all of modern art, revolutionizing attitudes to the depiction of form in space. Picasso's immersion in Cubism also eventually led him to the invention of collage, in which he abandoned the idea of the picture as a window on objects in the world, and began to conceive of it merely as an arrangement of signs that used different, sometimes metaphorical means, to refer to those objects. This too would prove hugely influential for decades to come. Picasso had an eclectic attitude to style, and although, at any one time, his work was usually characterized by a single dominant approach, he often moved interchangeably between different styles - sometimes even in the same artwork. His encounter with Surrealism, although never transforming his work entirely, encouraged not only the soft forms and tender eroticism of portraits of his mistress Marie-Therese Walter, but also the starkly angular imagery of Guernica (1937), the century's most famous anti-war painting. Picasso was always eager to place himself in history, and some of his greatest works, such as Les Demoiselles d'Avignon (1907), refer to a wealth of past precedents - even while overturning them. As he matured he became only more conscious of assuring his legacy, and his late work is characterized by a frank dialogue with Old Masters such as Ingres, Velazquez, Goya, and Rembrandt." --- SUBSCRIBE: www.youtube.com/c/LearnFromMasters?sub_confirmation=1 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/LearnFromMasters/ Google+: https://plus.google.com/+LearnFromMasters Contact: [email protected] --- Thanks for all support!

Top 10 Pablo picasso Famous Paintings

00:57
Pablo Picasso is probably the most important figure of 20th century, in terms of art, and art movements that occurred over this period. Before the age of 50, the Spanish born artist had become the most well known name in modern art, with the most distinct style and eye for artistic creation. There had been no other artists, prior to Picasso, who had such an impact on the art world, or had a mass following of fans and critics alike, as he did. Pablo Picasso was born in Spain in 1881, and was raised there before going on to spend most of his adult life working as an artist in France. Throughout the long course of his career, he created more than 20,000 paintings, drawings, sculptures, ceramics and other items such as costumes and theater sets. He is universally renowned as one of the most influential and celebrated artists of the twentieth century. Picasso's ability to produce works in an astonishing range of styles made him well respected during his own lifetime. After his death in 1973 his value as an artist and inspiration to other artists has only grown. He is without a doubt destined to permanently etch himself into the fabric of humanity as one of the greatest artists of all time. As an artist and an innovator, he is responsible for co-founding the entire Cubist movement alongside Georges Braque. Cubism was an avant-garde art movement that changed forever the face of European painting and sculpture while simultaneously affecting contemporary architecture, music and literature. Subjects and objects in Cubism are broken up into pieces and re-arranged in an abstract form. During the period from approximately 1910-1920 when Picasso and Braque were laying the foundation for Cubism in France, it's effects were so far-reaching as to inspire offshoots like the styles of Futurism, Dada, and Constructivism in other countries. Picasso is also credited with inventing constructed sculpture and co-inventing the collage art style. He is also regarded as one of three artists in the twentieth century credited with defining the elements of plastic arts. This revolutionary art form led society toward societal advances in painting, sculpture, printmaking and ceramics by physically manipulating materials that had not previously been carved or shaped. These materials were not just plastic, they were things that could be moulded in some way, usually into three dimensions. Artists used clay, plaster, precious metals, and wood to create revolutionary sculptural art work the world had never seen before. Digital Artist, Omar Aqil, Converts Picasso Paintings Into Marvelous Modern Sculptures

03:01
Omar Aqil is a digital artist and an art director living in Pakistan. Omar randomly selected the artworks of Pablo Picasso for the project. He recreated the works of art in 3D sculptures. Works by the artist display a postmodern approach but still preserves Picasso's style. Omar Aqil's personal interpretation of Picasso's art is striking. Omar brings dimension to paintings like 'Seated Woman' and 'Monument to the Spaniards.' He brings voluminous texture and unexpected depth to the work. Omar Aqil expresses his admiration for Picasso's style. A remake of the painting 'Visage,' 1928. Omar Aqil explains his art's purpose as being a different visual explanation for different interpretations. According to Omar, when you compare the two different types of work; you can realize that you see the paintings differently than the sculptures. You can check out the entire MIMIC project...

Art Class Lesson Plan - Picasso Portrait

08:21
This is a video I created for a lesson I teach my elementary art classes about Pablo Picasso. Students use a clay slab and hand building techniques create a relief sculpture of a portrait abstracted in the style of Picasso. Students learn to make an abstract portrait by simplifying the shapes, combining multiple perspectives in one unified composition and utilizing textures to create contrast. I usually just post the videos demonstrating the art making techniques. I thought this time I might try including a little of the art history that inspired the project. This can make a wonderful easy sub plan or I use videos like this in a flipped classroom.

Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) - The Portraits - A collection of paintings 4K Ultra HD

59:30
Pablo Ruiz Picasso (1881-1973) was a Spanish painter, sculptor, printmaker, ceramicist, stage designer, poet and playwright who spent most of his adult life in France. Regarded as one of the most influential artists of the 20th century, he is known for co-founding the Cubist movement, the invention of constructed sculpture, the co-invention of collage, and for the wide variety of styles that he helped develop and explore. Picasso demonstrated extraordinary artistic talent in his early years, painting in a naturalistic manner through his childhood and adolescence. During the first decade of the 20th century, his style changed as he experimented with different theories, techniques, and ideas. After 1906, the Fauvist work of the slightly older artist Henri Matisse motivated Picasso to explore more radical styles, beginning a fruitful rivalry between the two artists, who subsequently were often paired by critics as the leaders of modern art. Picasso was exceptionally prolific throughout his long lifetime. The total number of artworks he produced has been estimated at 50,000, comprising 1,885 paintings; 1,228 sculptures; 2,880 ceramics, roughly 12,000 drawings, many thousands of prints, and numerous tapestries and rugs. The medium in which Picasso made his most important contribution was painting. In his paintings, Picasso used colour as an expressive element, but relied on drawing rather than subtleties of colour to create form and space. He sometimes added sand to his paint to vary its texture. A nanoprobe of Picasso's The Red Armchair (1931) by physicists at Argonne National Laboratory in 2012 confirmed art historians' belief that Picasso used common house paint in many of his paintings. Much of his painting was done at night by artificial light. Picasso's early sculptures were carved from wood or modelled in wax or clay, but from 1909 to 1928 Picasso abandoned modelling and instead made sculptural constructions using diverse materials. An example is Guitar (1912), a relief construction made of sheet metal and wire that Jane Fluegel terms a "three-dimensional planar counterpart of Cubist painting" that marks a "revolutionary departure from the traditional approaches, modeling and carving". Pablo Picasso, 1921, Nous autres musiciens (Three Musicians), oil on canvas, 204.5 x 188.3 cm, Philadelphia Museum of Art From the beginning of his career, Picasso displayed an interest in subject matter of every kind, and demonstrated a great stylistic versatility that enabled him to work in several styles at once. For example, his paintings of 1917 included the pointillist Woman with a Mantilla, the Cubist Figure in an Armchair, and the naturalistic Harlequin (all in the Museu Picasso, Barcelona). In 1919, he made a number of drawings from postcards and photographs that reflect his interest in the stylistic conventions and static character of posed photographs. In 1921 he simultaneously painted several large neoclassical paintings and two versions of the Cubist composition Three Musicians (Museum of Modern Art, New York; Philadelphia Museum of Art). In an interview published in 1923, Picasso said, "The several manners I have used in my art must not be considered as an evolution, or as steps towards an unknown ideal of painting ... If the subjects I have wanted to express have suggested different ways of expression I have never hesitated to adopt them." Although his Cubist works approach abstraction, Picasso never relinquished the objects of the real world as subject matter. Prominent in his Cubist paintings are forms easily recognized as guitars, violins, and bottles. When Picasso depicted complex narrative scenes it was usually in prints, drawings, and small-scale works; Guernica (1937) is one of his few large narrative paintings. Picasso painted mostly from imagination or memory. According to William Rubin, Picasso "could only make great art from subjects that truly involved him ... Unlike Matisse, Picasso had eschewed models virtually all his mature life, preferring to paint individuals whose lives had both impinged on, and had real significance for, his own." The art critic Arthur Danto said Picasso's work constitutes a "vast pictorial autobiography" that provides some basis for the popular conception that "Picasso invented a new style each time he fell in love with a new woman". The autobiographical nature of Picasso's art is reinforced by his habit of dating his works, often to the day. He explained: "I want to leave to posterity a documentation that will be as complete as possible. That's why I put a date on everything I do Pablo Picasso - The Early Years: https://youtu.be/Bz5f8rEwboQ Pablo Picasso - The Nudes: https://youtu.be/z9IM7MaPovg Thank you, please subscribe for future videos https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC0gMk3w9hw8BbtqoUpEMKeg?sub_confirmation=1

As one of the greatest and most influential artists of the 20th century, he is widely known for co-founding the Cubist movement, the invention of constructed sculpture, the co-invention of collage, and for the wide variety of styles that he helped develop and explore. Among his most famous works are the proto-Cubist Les Demoiselles d'Avignon (1907), and Guernica (1937), a portrayal of the German bombing of Guernica during the Spanish Civil War. Picasso, Henri Matisse and Marcel Duchamp are commonly regarded as the three artists who most defined the revolutionary developments in the plastic arts in the opening decades of the 20th century, responsible for significant developments in painting, sculpture, printmaking and ceramics. Picasso demonstrated extraordinary artistic talent in his early years, painting in a realistic manner through his childhood and adolescence. During the first decade of the 20th century, his style changed as he experimented with different theories, techniques, and ideas. His revolutionary artistic accomplishments brought him universal renown and immense fortune, making him one of the best-known figures in 20th-century art. 1. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up." ― Pablo Picasso "Art is the lie that enables us to realize the truth." ― Pablo Picasso "Others have seen what is and asked why. I have seen what could be and asked why not. " ― Pablo Picasso "Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life." ― Pablo Picasso "Ah, good taste! What a dreadful thing! Taste is the enemy of creativeness." ― Pablo Picasso "Only put off until tomorrow what you are willing to die having left undone" ― Pablo Picasso "There are painters who transform the sun to a yellow spot, but there are others who with the help of their art and their intelligence, transform a yellow spot into sun" ― Pablo Picasso "When I was a child my mother said to me, 'If you become a soldier, you'll be a general. If you become a monk, you'll be the pope.' Instead I became a painter and wound up as Picasso." ― Pablo Picasso "The chief enemy of creativity is good sense." ― Pablo Picasso "I am always doing that which I can not do, in order that I may learn how to do it." ― Pablo Picasso "What do you think an artist is? ...he is a political being, constantly aware of the heart breaking, passionate, or delightful things that happen in the world, shaping himself completely in their image. Painting is not done to decorate apartments. It is an instrument of war." ― Pablo Picasso "Bad artists copy. Good artists steal." ― Pablo Picasso "It takes a very long time to become young." ― Pablo Picasso "Inspiration exists, but it has to find you working." ― Pablo Picasso "The urge to destroy is also a creative urge." ― Pablo Picasso "If I paint a wild horse, you might not see the horse... but surely you will see the wildness!" ― Pablo Picasso "There are only two types of women: goddesses and doormats." ― Pablo Picasso "There is no abstract art. You must always start with something. Afterward you can remove all traces of reality." ― Pablo Picasso "I do not seek. I find." ― Pablo Picasso "Computers are useless. They can only give you answers." ― Pablo Picasso "God is really only another artist. He invented the giraffe, the elephant and the cat. He has no real style, He just goes on trying other things." ― Pablo Picasso "Painting is just another way of keeping a diary." ― Pablo Picasso "To draw, you must close your eyes and sing" ― Pablo Picasso

Norval Morrisseau A Native Canadian Painter and Artist - The 'Picasso of the North'

Norval Morrisseau A Native Canadian Artist and The 'Picasso of the North' - Video Testimonials (100s) on Authentic Hand Painted Canvas Art Paintings....... http://www.FamousArtistsofHistory.com/VideoTestimonialsOnOilPaintingReproductions.php http://www.GodistheCreator.com http://www.addictiontube.com Norval Morrisseau, CM (March 14, 1932 -- December 4, 2007), also known as Copper Thunderbird, was an Aboriginal Canadian artist. Known as the "Picasso of the North", Morrisseau created works depicting the legends of his people, the cultural and political tensions between native Canadian and European traditions, his existential struggles, and his deep spirituality and mysticism. His style is characterized by thick black outlines and bright colors. He founded the Woodlands School of Canadian art and was a prominent member of the "Indian Group of Seven". His full name is Jean-Baptiste Norman Henry Morrisseau, but he signs his work using the Cree syllabics writing ᐅᓵᐚᐱᐦᑯᐱᓀᐦᓯ (Ozaawaabiko-binesi, unpointed: ᐅᓴᐘᐱᑯᐱᓀᓯ, "Copper/Brass [Thunder]Bird"), as his pen-name for his Anishnaabe name ᒥᐢᒁᐱᐦᐠ ᐊᓂᒥᐦᑮ (Miskwaabik Animikii, unpointed: ᒥᐢᑿᐱᐠ ᐊᓂᒥᑭ, "Copper Thunderbird"). Morrisseau was a self-taught artist. He developed his own techniques and artistic vocabulary which captured ancient legends and images that came to him in visions or dreams. He was originally criticized by the native community because his images disclosed traditional spiritual knowledge. Initially he painted on any material that he could find, especially birchbark, and also moose hide. Dewdney encouraged him to use earth-tone colors and traditional material, which he thought were appropriate to Morrisseau's native style. In 1978, he was made a Member of the Order of Canada. The National Arts Centre, urban ink co-production, Copper Thunderbird, premiered on the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network (APTN) on Monday, Feb 4th 2008. Norval Morrisseau was honoured with a posthumous Lifetime Achievement Award during the NAAF Awards held at the Sony Centre in Toronto on March 22, 2008.

His full name was Pablo Diego Jose Francisco de Paula Juan Nepomuceno Maria de los Remedios Ciopriano de la Santisima Trinidad Ruiz y Picasso, but we know him more informally as Pablo Picasso, and he was en extremely popular Spanish artist who lived from 1881 to 1973. He demonstrated extraordinary artistic talent during his early days, which allowed him to go off his own deep end and invent the Picasso style that won him great critical regard throughout the world. His wide variety of artistic inventions made him one of the best-known entities of 20th century art. He was also quite a ladies' man and his personal life could serve as the basis for dozens of novels and biopics. The Nazis didn't like his paintings, so during WWII (he was living in Paris), he stopped exhibiting and took up poetry, writing some 300 poems. Németh Miklós 1934 the Hungarian fauvist , new expressionist painter the new Picasso

09:47
Miklos Nemeth.(1934 ) works, with their richness in colour, are sweeping away the present Eastern opinion of Europe states a Tokyo newspaper about the 1991 Tokyo-exhibition. Heated with unique colourism, his images of colours would attach him to Matisse, if this volcanic power, fall would not be emerging from inside. Nemeths' painter's soul draws the attention on himself with not only his rich colour-experience but also with his style free of boundaries. One looking at Nemeth's paintings can hardly escape from the view's suggestiveness. Nemeth's painting cannot be and it is not even worth comparing to anybodys as what he is representing is Mikos Nemeth's style itself.

Picasso The Full Story 3 of 3 Death - art documentary

49:51
Pablo Picasso ( 25 October 1881 – 8 April 1973) was a Spanish painter, sculptor, printmaker, ceramicist, stage designer, poet and playwright who spent most of his adult life in France. Regarded as one of the most influential artists of the 20th century, he is known for co-founding the Cubist movement, the invention of constructed sculpture,[3][4] the co-invention of collage, and for the wide variety of styles that he helped develop and explore. Among his most famous works are the proto-Cubist Les Demoiselles d'Avignon (1907), and Guernica (1937), a dramatic portrayal of the bombing of Guernica by the German and Italian airforces. Picasso demonstrated extraordinary artistic talent in his early years, painting in a naturalistic manner through his childhood and adolescence. During the first decade of the 20th century, his style changed as he experimented with different theories, techniques, and ideas. After 1906, the Fauvist work of the slightly older artist Henri Matisse motivated Picasso to explore more radical styles, beginning a fruitful rivalry between the two artists, who subsequently were often paired by critics as the leaders of modern art.[5][6][7][8] Picasso's work is often categorized into periods. While the names of many of his later periods are debated, the most commonly accepted periods in his work are the Blue Period (1901–1904), the Rose Period (1904–1906), the African-influenced Period (1907–1909), Analytic Cubism (1909–1912), and Synthetic Cubism (1912–1919), also referred to as the Crystal period. Much of Picasso's work of the late 1910s and early 1920s is in a neoclassical style, and his work in the mid-1920s often has characteristics of Surrealism. His later work often combines elements of his earlier styles. Exceptionally prolific throughout the course of his long life, Picasso achieved universal renown and immense fortune for his revolutionary artistic accomplishments, and became one of the best-known figures in 20th-century art.
