Oracle Sharding Overview

39:04
Product overview of Oracle Sharding 12.2 Linear Scalability, Fault Isolation and Geo-distribution Oracle Sharding is a scalability and availability feature that enables distribution and replication of data across a pool of Oracle databases that do not share hardware or software. Applications elastically scale (data, transactions and users) to any level, on any platform, simply by adding additional databases (shards) to the pool. #How to #Create #JDBC #DataSource, JDBC #Connection #Pool for #Oracle #Database Software in #Weblogic Server (Already created "AdvJavaDomain" in Weblogic): #Advance #Java #Servlet #Programming #Tutorial [Already created "AdvJavaDomain" in Weblogic]: Refer the below Session: 101 Create user defined domain in Weblogic Server & Perform Admin Console Deployment webapplication 1)Start "AdvJavaDomain" server of Weblogic & open its admin console. Start the domain start menu--all programs--oracle weblogic---User projects---Domain(AdvJavaDomain)----Start Admin Server for Weblogic Server Domain To open the admin console (Browser window) http://localhost:7070/console/login/LoginForm.jsp Step 2) Create JDBC Connection Pool for Oracle Dabatabse software and JDBC DataSource object. Admin Console---Service Name : myds1 JNDI Name : techfort To see the JNDI Name which is registered go to environments Note : When we click on finish button the above created DataSorce object "techfort" reference will be registered with Registry software automatically. - Specify the parameters for JDBC Connection Pool Go to admin cosole lookup Operation: java application uses JDBC code to interact with Database software. JDBC connection object represents connectivity with java applicatin and database software, lookup: JNDI code is required in java application to interact with DB software by gathering DataSource object reference from JNDI registry, by submitting with nickname (JNDI name 'techfort') (technically this is called as lookup operation ) Java application uses JNDI code to interact with Registry software. "InitialContext" object represents connectivity between java application and Registry software. To write JNDI code in our java application we need JNDI API (javax.naming and its sub packages) The process of getting objects or objects references from JNDI registry software using nickname or alias name is technically called as "JNDI lookup Operation" #Que: # How many types of JDBC connection objects are there? ============================================================= 2 Types. 1) Direct Connection Object: Class.forName("oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver"); Connection con=DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:oracle:thin:@localhost:1521:orcl","scott","boss"); 2) Pooled Connecton Object: its the jdbc object that is collected from JDBC connection Pool

Oracle Architecture

04:11
This video describes the best architecture of the oracle after trying more than times to Oracle structure I decided to produce an animated video let's start first with the database structure on the left side you have the client here on the right side you have to serve a two-year the server side is divided in three main structures to memory the logical structure and the physical structure so let's use SQL Plus application to provide you every step up a transaction will be using Scott sample schema it is important to note that the whole string is an alias and not a database name district will be compared to this alias inside of a file called pianist named doc or this file is similar to a DNS and with up pain all the necessary detail to reach a database server locally a user process will be allocated and will validate the connection through a listener the listener will be in charge to allocate a server process the user processes da link to the server process let's now execute our first transaction for this example we will execute an update first to state that will be validated we call this step the parsing this server process sense back to confirmation of the parsing that statement with be written into their share pool and the redo log buffer an execution plan will also be created it to the fair share Paul that database book they choose fought the transaction will be read and copy into the database buffer cache only that feel implicated in that transaction will be held it to a - segment till the transaction is completed we call those copies the before image a copy of this block will be duplicated with the updated feel this copy is called me after image a confirmation will be sent to to use a process the commit statement will complete the transaction and will be written into to redo log buffer to commit statement triggers the log writer process and we'll send all statement for the current transaction into the redo log file the before image into undo segment could be then deleted went that threshold up to undo retention parameters reach alaskan from Asian will be sent to the user process went to current law kiss Paul it generates a switch lock triggering at the same time the archiver process and to log sequence number the archiver will generate and archive the file with the content of the current loc a switch up with them trigger a checkpoint process that will incriminate the checkpoint number by applying this last number into each data file header the checkpoint process with finally trigger the database writer process enright the last image from that database buffer cache into thirty people

Lesson - 27 : JDBC - Connection pooling in JDBC

15:55
Why DataSource interface is introduced If a java program wants to obtain a connection with a database then there are two options for the java program 1. A java program can use DriverManager class of java.sql package to obtain a connection. 2. A java program can use DataSource interface of java.sql package to obtain a connection with a database. The following are the major drawbacks of DriverManager class 1. DriverManager class takes atleast three or four seconds of time to open database connection in a network so it decreases the burden on or performance of java application. 2. To obtain a connection using DriverManager a programmer has to remember driver class name it's url and username, password so it increase the burden on a programmer. 3. DriverManager class opens a separate connection for each client so number of connections on database server will be increased so it's performance is decrease. 4. DriverManager opens non reusable connections with a database so it increase burden on database server. Why connection pooling: When we use driver manager or datasource the connection opened with a datasource is a non reusable. For each client if a new connection is opened then burden on database server will be increase so to reduce the burden on database server we use connection pooling. What is connection pooling: Connection pooling is a mechanism which makes a database connection as a reusable for more than one client so burden on a database server will be reduced. A connection pooling makes database connections as reusable. A connection pool contains set of pooled connections(reusable connections). How connection pooling works: 1. A server administrator prepares a connection pool with a setoff connections and also a mediator object as DataSource object to access the pool. 2. An administrator stores DataSource object into JNDI registry (java naming directory interface) . 3. A java application reads DataSource object from JNDI registry andasks for a connection from a pool. 4. A DataSource object takes a connection from a pool and creates a proxy or logical connection do it and then sends the proxy connection to java program. 5. When a java program closes proxy connection the DataSource will done real connection back to the pool.

Use the Middleware Diagnostics Advisor to Size the JDBC Connection Pool

04:13
With Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control 12c, a new feature has been introduced that provides true advisories to operations teams on critical diagnostic findings. The entire stack is taken into consideration from the top-level applications to the mid-tier, databases, and the hosts they reside on from both a performance perspective (historical and real-time) and a configuration/compliance perspective. The end result is a diagnostic finding that provides a recommendation for resolving the problem. In this particular demo, we will be looking at a finding related to the JDBC connection pool size on Oracle WebLogic Server.

how to create a domain in weblogic 12c

05:27
Before you can develop and run WebLogic Platform applications, you must first create a WebLogic Server domain. A WebLogic Server administration domain is a logically related group of WebLogic Server resources. Domains include a special WebLogic Server instance called the Administration Server, which is the central point from which you configure and manage all resources in the domain. Usually, you configure a domain to include additional WebLogic Server instances called Managed Servers. You deploy Web applications, EJBs, and other resources onto the Managed Servers and use the Administration Server for configuration and management purposes only. Multiple Managed Servers can be grouped into clusters, which enable you to balance loads and provide failover protection for critical applications, while using a single Administration Server simplifies the management of the Managed Server instances. A domain can consist of an Administration Server and one or more Managed Servers, or of a single standalone server that both acts as Administration Server and runs deployed applications. Domain with Separate Managed Servers: A simple production environment can consist of a domain with several Managed Servers that host applications, and an Administration Server to perform management operations. In this configuration, applications and resources are deployed to individual Managed Servers; similarly, clients that access the application connect to an individual Managed Server. Production environments that require increased application performance, throughput, or availability should configure two or more of Managed Servers as a cluster. Clustering allows multiple Managed Servers to operate as a single unit to host applications and resources. For more information about the difference between standalone and clustered Managed Servers, see Managed Servers and Managed Server Clusters. Standalone Server Domain: For development or test environments, you may want to deploy a single application and server independently from servers in a production domain. In this case, you can deploy a simple domain consisting of a single server instance that acts as an Administration Server that, and also hosts the applications you are developing. The wl_server domain that you can install with WebLogic Server is an example of a standalone server domain.
