Iconic Custom Guitars "The '52" Telecaster Style Guitar Demo

06:24
A demonstration of "The '52" from Iconic Custom Guitars. This is an amazing Fender Telecaster style guitar with a worn in look and feel. It was designed to feel as if it had been played live for years and the custom wound boutique pickups sound great. They also make guitars similar to the Fender Stratocaster. For gear demos, pedal demonstrations, guitar lessons, and live music / concert footage, please keep in touch by subscribing!

Custom Made Alder Telecaster NJR Guitars

03:47
A short video of some the steps I take making one of my guitars. This Particular guitar is a Custom TS (telecaster Style) The body is made from two pieces of alder, the neck & fret board are from Maple. The guitar has 1:19 locking tuners that are mounted in tapered holes for the best possible location and stability. Bone nut, Medium Jumbo frets. The” Alnico” humbuker’s have been coil tapped via a push pull tone knob control. This video shows a short over view of the cnc steps taken, It is obviously a lot more involved and time consuming. It doesn’t show all the prep work sanding, fret levelling and polishing 3d modelling , programming more sanding! Wiring and final finishing and set up. Anyway I hope you enjoy my video I happy to answer any questions you might have please subscribe share and like Thank you Music My cover version of "I dream there was no war" by the Eagels

Music Gear Review - Keith Holland on MGR Custom Guitars

10:38
Keith Holland from The Guitar Hospital in Los Gatos California talks about some of his custom guitars, from a New Aged Stock Fender style guitar, to a Fender Telecaster style guitar he covers several styles. A guitar he calls a "furniture" guitar is a breathtaking Koa solid body. He even has one with a laminate top and ash body and Bigsby style vibratro. Often, a custom guitar is a better way to go than extensively modifying a commercial guitar that isn't just right out of the box.

Review Demo - Mike Lull Custom Guitars TXB4

07:22
Read the review: http://www.premierguitar.com/articles/24174-mike-lull-txb4-review Mike Lull has been quietly making noise in the bass community for the past four decades, with the last 20 years spent cranking out handcrafted instruments under the Mike Lull Custom Guitars name. Lull’s hands are on every instrument that’s built in his Pacific Northwest shop, and bassists worldwide have long praised his wares. Lull’s basses have a familiar feel since they often utilize traditional body styles, but they boast build features that make them truly stand out. The usual suspects such as a P-style, J-style, and a Thunderbird-style are in his catalog, but here, I was hipped to his latest design called the TXB4. It’s a beauty with a classic Tele-style body shape and some fun features built in to give it a modded, modern twist. Pulling the TXB4 out of its gig bag, the big, fat T-bird-style pickups demanded my attention like a custom car daring me to drag race. Factor in other appointments—like the Hipshot Ultralite tuners, bone nut, a gorgeous translucent-blue finish, and the very Tele-like, 3-in-line burled knobs—and you have a bass with a pretty stunning overall presentation. The TXB4 played so fast it’s almost scary. Its construction and setup were pretty much perfect: Every joint and screw was tight and without error. It had a remarkable feel and the contoured neck heel allowed access to all 21 frets. The swamp-ash body balances nicely with the satin, graphite-reinforced maple neck and the frets were level and even. (All Lull basses are PLEK’d.) Unplugged, the TXB4 sustained for damn near forever. Smitty Custom Guitars 'The Hog' T-Style guitar

The Hog was born. Eric sourced some light and beautiful wood, shaped it all himself, strapped it together and sent it over from his workshop in The Netherlands. I was and remain suitably impressed and the guitar's appearance on stage and in tons of videos has sold a few more for Smitty, I believe. Thank you and Happy New Year, Eric! Through the use of a micro switch there are a number of tone capacitor presets that range from .010 uF to .059 uF enabling you to dial in your tone. Pots can be switched internally also from 250K to 500K. The lack of soldered connections offers a much higher level of reliability an important gigging and road wear consideration and also eliminates the need for future added expense should you choose to change pickups. Stock PU's are Fender Vintage "52's. Jacks are either traditional or electrosocket. Most instruments come in traditional '50's and '60's translucent light to medium wear nitro cellulose finishes. Necks are yellow satin finish nitro with light relicing but only on the back for ease of playability. All hardware shows light to medium distressing. Review Demo - Forrest Custom Guitars FCG Double Bender

14:14
Read the review: http://bit.ly/ForrestCustomTele The Forrest DB Boost B and G Bender is a string bender’s dream. For the uninitiated: “Bender” guitars employ internal springs and levers to bend individual strings up to a fixed pitch. Typically, the Bstring is raised a whole step by pulling down against the guitar strap. This tugs the upper-bout strap button through a routed slot, triggering a mechanism that runs through the body to the bridge area, where it raises the string’s pitch. This ingenious device can also be attached to the G string. Sometimes the strap button controls the B string, while a lever near the neck plate controls the G string. This second lever is attached to a lanyard hooked on the player’s belt, so that pushing the guitar away from the player’s body raises the pitch. This is called a double-bender guitar. Clarence White, Albert Lee, Jimmy Page, and Ricky Skaggs have all used B-bender guitars to amazing ends. Brad Paisley uses a G Anchorbender. Jimmy Olander of Diamond Rio rocks an instrument fitted with both. The DB Boost B and G Bender is for players like Olander, for whom one bender is not enough. Equitz Guitars (Homemade) Telecaster-style custom electric guitar, GFS P90 pickups

This was made from a 1-piece alder body with dual P90 pickups and a thin-skin nitrocellulose finish. The demo is played through a Fender Hot Rod DeVille with no effects other than the reverb and distortion on the amp. My apologies for the goofy playing and the bad audio quality from the laptop mic. Trust me, it sounds much better in person! For photos of this build and other projects in the works, check out Equitz Guitars on Facebook (facebook.com/equitzguitars). Thanks for watching!

Making a Forrest Custom Guitars Thinline Paisley Tele

06:02
This is a little footage of Forrest Lee Jr building William Hill's "Greenie". Mahogany tele with a Maple cap, paisley F holes and binding, and a custom green paisley direct finish. It's as hands on as any custom guitar can get... truly custom in every sense of the word. and only available from Forrest Custom guitars. Nobody does a paisley this way! The music at the end is from Forrest Lee Jr's new Blues CD "Mr. Classified" Luckily it was finished before the Flood shut the shop down for a month!

Greg Koch, a beast of both persona and guitar-mastery, couples his sickeningly magnetic personality with the guitar to create a style of playing that is both completely unique and deplorable at the same time. As a huge fan of the legendary Big Jim Hendricks Greg has taken all that is good and righteous about blues guitar and warped it into a ridiculously fantastic amalgamation of melodic defilement and mind-blowing creativity. Over the years Greg has shared the stage with everyone from Joe Bonamassa to Les Paul himself, never relenting, never ceasing to bring the ruckus.

Bill Kirchen, King of Dieselbilly, talks Tele!

05:54
Titan of the Tele: Bill Kirchen explains why he flips his control plate backwards, and shows how he got the famous sounds he recorded on Hot Rod Lincoln. About the guitars in this video: Dan's baritone Tele is a custom body of catalpa wood that's light like swamp ash, with a Bajo Sexto neck made by Fred Stuart at the Fender Custom Shop. Bill played it at the Jorma Kaukonen's Fur Peace Ranch, loved it, and talked Dan into selling it. Bill's pine guitar was built by Rick Kelly of Carmine Street Guitars in New York City. The folks who keep Bill's Tele twanging: Steve Ripley, The Guitar Doctor, Falls Church, VA Mike Dove, Silver Spring, MD Ben and Chazz, South Austin Music, Austin, TX Larry Smoak, Wooden Wizard Guitars, Fairfax, VA Jon Thacher, JT Saddles, Fairfax, VA Ed Reynolds, Austin TX If you have questions, please contact us through our webpage http://www.stewmac.com/email or visit our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/StewMac For more information on tools and parts: CTS Control Pots http://www.stewmac.com/0115.html Golden Age Knotty Pine Body for Tele http://www.stewmac.com/0450.html Tele Style Control Plate http://www.stewmac.com/0132.html Orange Drop Caps http://www.stewmac.com/1281.html Compensated Bridge Saddles for Tele http://www.stewmac.com/5167.html Wiring Kit for Telecaster http://www.stewmac.com/0138.html Bakelite Pickguard for Tele & Esquire http://www.stewmac.com/0059.html
