I very recently purchased a book on Thelema called The Magick of Aleister Crowley by Lon Milo DuQuette and wondered if you had read it and if so, whether it is helpful. I have many of Crowley's works in PDF form but prefer actual books. Also, many people have said that you should read The Book of Law out loud and then burn it, that you gain something in power by doing so, but I don't really understand this nor entirely trust the legitimacy of that practice. Wisdom? Thoughts? Experiences?

+Mark Henry Thank you. I knew that it felt almost disrespectful to the man to do and was trying to understand what would cause people who claim to also respect him, to burn that particular work. I know that in spellwork, there are times when burning written words is called for, but they aren't someone else's words. As always, your wisdom is appreciated. There are many who have jumped on the bandwagon of posting videos on occult subjects and magick of all kinds and traditions but I find that most fall short or don't ring true to me, so i don't really ask them for anything. I have befriended a couple but that really isn't the same as trusting them with such important information, my spirituality being something I hold too sacred to depend on those obviously less knowledgeable. You are a blessing, Mark.

I have not read that book by Lon Milo Duquette, but I understand the desire for physical books. They can be held, which can be a more satisfying experience. I don't believe that burning the Book of the Law will help you gain power, unless it was limiting you in some way.
