Learn how to draw a teenage girl with a happy expression. Drawing female characters is one of the most popular topics in cartooning, and its not all that hard to do! Follow a couple of basic rules about shapes and shadows and you'll always have a great looking cartoon girl. Apply these drawing techniques to create personality and appeal in all of your teenage girl characters.
Beautifully done! Her facial expression that you depicted served as an inspiration for my own take on an old favorite Disney character. Here's the link to my finished product. http://zacharynoah92.deviantart.com/art/Smiling-Gadget-Hackwrench-684010157
+Deena Williams Oh, I've got plenty of 'em in my backlist (my channel) where I draw slower for the viewer. Some people like to see the drawings happen fast, because it looks cool. I'm sure you can find something you like, at a more moderate place, in my list. I've got over 250 of 'em!
My only complaint is that the camera is extremely shaky. Every time you lift your arm and place it back onto the surface, the camera shakes a lot which makes it hard, for me personally, to focus on the drawing. Otherwise, excellent work. The way you produced this character so quickly is really awesome.
I've got a lot more on similar subjects, such as drawing the female head at a 3/4 view. I hope you'll check out the other videos on my channel, maybe you'll click more with them. Anyway, thanks for taking a look, and drawing along with the video.
Don't get down... In art school, they told us the way to become an artist is to make your first 5,000 mistakes, and then you'll be on your way. And what they meant was that, to improve, you've got to take artistic risks, and at first, they may seem like mistakes. But in reality, you may already be in the process of improving.
OMG I'm a big fan and I LOVE your work ^~^ I'm going to get my mum to buy me your manga for the beginner Shoujo book I quit practicing for a while becuase my drawings suck but I saw some of your videos and I wanna be good at drawing like you anyways your drawings are AMAZING :)
Thanks for the compliment. Lots of studying, practice, and analyzing on my own. But I also attended the California Institute of the Arts Character Design Program, and studied life drawing at the Paier school of Art in Connecticut and the Silvermine school of art in connecticut.
